Marvellous music to listen to, the blend of instruments is absolutely fantastic!

Brings it all back - great days of youth in the late 50s and we were all massive Barber fans, and still are! What a trouper - heard him live in Bedworth and he is just better than ever!

Just Brilliant - Great musicians

Such a fabulous performance, brilliant!

Chris has been the top man who has succeeded since the 50's in bringing the best to the Trad Jazz music scene and he is sill going strong.His choice of backing musicians has been superb.Gosdbless all of his friends who are no longer with us.Especially Pat Halcox,Ottilie Patterson,.I loved them all.Too many to mention.Keep on trucking Chris.

David Wheeldon How about Ken Colyer? When they were together, back in the early 50`s, how about the ``New Orleans to London` vinyl ? commercial maybe, but what music…..Tony Donnegan, too and Monty Sunshine? What memories of an early youth!!!!

Stunning performance. That guitar is out of this world. And then Chris playing 'Shine On Harvest Moon' (3.00), loosely based on the same chords as SGB. What is he playing, a mellophonium? And hail to Sticky Wickett.

Die beiden soli "sweet sue" und "sweeet georgia brown" waren immer die visuellen UND akustischen höhepunkte der auftritte unserer (margrit und john ammmeter ) lieblingsband im volkshaus in zürich 1959- 64!

Chris barber hatte ich als Jugendlicher in Duisburg in der mecatorhalle gehört seid dem liebe ich Jazz Kleine Anekdote das Konzert war vorbei ich hatte zwar ein Plakat aber keine Autogramme also mein Schwager und sein Freund den Pförtner abgelenkt ich unter dem Fenster gekrabbelt wow aufeinmal stand ich im Raum der Band Chris barber kam auf mich lachend zu ich verlegen rot im Gesicht das Plakat inne Hand und alle haben unterschrieben voll stolz sowas vergisst man nicht
