What about Vladimir Ilyich Lenin Nuclear Power Plant?

No one ever called it that in real life. Most literal translation is "Chernobylskaya Atomic Energy Station Named for V. I. Lenin." The last part is pretty much an afterthought. Just like no one calls the Moscow Metro the Lenin Metro, even though it is also named for Lenin. But funniest part is that you also have the "Leningradskaya Atomic Energy Station Named for V. I. Lenin." Double Lenin! So if you went around talking about the 'Lenin NPP', no one would know which one you meant.

@@MinSredMash I see, is that name kind of hated because of the soviets?

@@gsvincze I'm not saying the name is hated, just that the 'of V. I. Lenin' part was rarely used even in the Soviet period, except on the headers of formal documents. It's mostly silly English speaking translators who incorrectly emphasized the Lenin part, and then the HBO miniseries taught everyone that that was the plant's "real" name.

Забыли упомянуть, что название было Чернобыльская Атомная Электростанция им. В. И. Ленина. На АБК даже написано было.
