Did not know that Jennifer actually WAS learning as she filmed - no wonder she was so convincing. She did incredibly well on DWTS - 27 when she did the movie, and 50 (!!!) when she danced with Derek Hough.

I love the humour and lightness of touch that Lauren and Christopher bring to their technical analysis of movie dances! Their enjoyment makes their videos such fun to watch!

Her posture is amazing

My dance teacher was able to bring in Lauren and Chris a few years ago for a few days of partnering, contemporary, and hip hop masterclasses, and they are such excellent, supportive teachers. I’m happy to see them getting more recognition because they certainly deserve it!

It’s not surprising if she actually did, Grey was not a dancer and it might have made it easier on Swayze to catch her higher

No. I think it looked more graceful with them, because she was so short and tiny. It was easier for him to life her up, and easier for her to do that little hop as needed.

Sorry I couldn't keep my eyes off the real deal and wanted their scene to continue 😆 The way Swayze moves is just so smooth 👌👌👌👌

She has the best posture i’ve seen in a while. Bravo!

So like I'm practicing this dance with my sister and we got the beginning to the turning section!! I'm showing her the turning section right now and once we get that down, then we are moving to the next thing. It's going well so far! I'm teaching my sister how to do this dance basically. 6:00 mark - If I were Kenny Ortega, that Jennifer Grey move after all of the cross-body-leading, shoulder-checking and spinning are over and they end up in closed position doing this unusual dance trick, would probably be called either of these moves: 1. The Coppelia move. 2. The Dead-Doll move. 3. The Robot Doll move. Most likely, it would be called the Coppelia move more than the two others. It was named for a certain porcelain doll that seems to be like a toy doll - something like a robot. And that robotic move by Grey meant something more - in addition to pachanga and dirty dancing and mambo, we have a bit of hip-hop dancing added as well.
