    I bought a book you wrote when I became interested. One of your videos demonstrated using a toothpick so that's how I began learning to see if I'd enjoy this craft before I bought materials. I love quilling and I've had to learn tension because my first coils were too tight to unwind. Now I'm working on the creative part to develop my own unique designs and your videos inspire ideas. Thank you.

    I prefer the slotted tool personally as I find it has more control and is much more simple to use. I don't waste my needle tool though so before I had a smaller glue bottle with a needle end, I would put glue on a piece of paper and put glue on the quilling paper using the needle tool. Amazing and clear video. ✨💛

    Thank you so much for this wonderful explanation, and the quality of the video is incontestably good. I was trying so hard to roll with the needle tool, I found your video and now I can do it! As a beginner, I prefer using the slotted tool because it is so much easier to roll, and I can control how much pressure I apply while rolling. But for sure the finish product of the needle tool is so great and would be a great achievement to feel comfortable with that. However, I find it is very hard to apply the same pressure and it doesnt stay tight, problably needs years of practice ;)

    Yay! That’s wonderful to hear @musicTime! I’m always happy when I hear someone has achieved a new level in their quilling practice. The key word here is practice. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years so I know I make it look easy, but if we remember we have to learn to crawl before we can run, then we can remember to have patience with ourselves and simply keep practicing, and then you’ll be running with me!

    Yes :)))) I have very dry skin and needles will never work this way, so I have a moist cloth next to me when I'm quilling and will just tip my hand slightly against it if the needle won't work. Your advice is gorgeous :)

    I always wondered about the flowers! How cute! The strip you were using for the flower looked muck more narrow than toward the part where the fringing started. Am I right about that?

  • @PaperZenCeceliaLouie

    @PaperZenCeceliaLouie

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi Carol, that's right. The narrow part is where I get started, and after it's coiled, it represents the innermost part of a flower, where the stamens are. I suggest watching my Fringed Flowers series to learn more about making them. They are addictive!!! Here is the first one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/on56qaaspseckqQ.html
