Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Are you wondering what is the best oil combination of oils for your handmade cold process or hot process soap recipes? What are the main fatty acids in soap oils and what do they do? How to get a good lather? Long lasting bar? What do the ranges in Soapcalc and other soap calculators mean? If you are asking yourself any of these questions, then this video is for you!
Through this video presentation I explain:
* The eight most common fatty acids found in oils and fats used for soap making
* The qualities of each fatty acid in terms of:
Saturated or unsaturated, lathering ability, cleansing properties, hardness and longevity, speed of saponification, examples of oils.
* What makes the best soap?
* What else is important?
* Soap calc ranges explained
* Further reading and resources

    Massively helpful orientation to what the oils are all about; I have been wanting to get informed now that I e made my first 4 batches! Which I made thanks to you, Elly! And used your oil percentages to start from your beginner’s video. You are such a natural born teacher - clear and simple, yet tackling the complexities - and I experience you as guileless and kind and genuine and in earnest and your integrity shines through as well as a good heart. It’s gems like you that make the Internet a better place! Thank you for your efforts and generosity in gathering and sharing your knowledge in video as well as putting it in written form on your website! Thank you so much for this video! It has been a concern to me, because I want to make more moisturizing opposed to cleansing soaps, now that I am older. I found following other soap makers their tendency to utilize the higher cleansing properties that I have found drying and my friends have been embarrassed to tell me so! I have found your insight so helpful, I thought I couldn’t deter away from what others have said, and looking at provided SAP charts, I became a rule follower. I know as an aesthetician what provides the best moisturizing properties but the fatty acid break down has been enormous for me! It will also be a cost saver.

    I went to a soapmaking class few years ago. But I found many unanswered questions, which lead me to the internet & youtube. Then I found your video about introduction to soapmaking. The material in the class was no where near the materials you have been sharing in your videos these past few years. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Elly 💜 I live in southeast asia, interestingly soap made with 70% - 75% or even 100% olive oil are quite popular. I think it's because those who like high % olive oil spend a lot of time in air conditioned space.

    I love how you break down information. You do it as if you were a scientist, and you might as well be one. I am a math and science savvy person, so I really love the breakdown of the fundamentals and chemistry of the soap making process. It could get even more technical, but that would not really be necessary for most watching and wanting to start soap making.

    Wow, Wow, Wow, Thank you so much for sharing you knowledge, This is a lot of research and work you have done when most would charge to teach. I've never seen in any video how the fatty acids were broken down in section with the example oils. I've been soaping for a couple of years but never took the time to do deep research. Thank you so much for your clarity it has help me tremendously. You are an awesome soap maker! Thank you again.
