Choosing a guitar amp for BEGINNERS: how LOUD is 1W TUBE amp? Sound test with Laney Cub Supertop

Honestly in a past I made some mistakes when it came to buy a right amp for me. Once I thought that a 10W Marshall DSL would be good for home use .. and guess what? It was SOOO LOUD that I ended up selling it. Can you tame even a small tube amp at home?
Is a 1W TUBE amp suitable for late night bedroom practice? And does it sound any good at low volumes? I have this small Laney head with an option to reduce power from 15W to 1W - let's play it and see!
Simple setup used:
Gibson SG Special
Laney Cub Supertop with matching cabinet
UA Sphere DLX (acting as room mic)
Apollo X8P
Just for the sound test the TS808 TubeScreamer was briefly turned on and Strymon El Capistan Delay pedal as well, so you can have the idea how does it sounds in "normal" playing situation.

Exactly .. I used to have a DSL 10W back in day in the flat and it was overkill. Neighbours wasnt happy ..))
How loud is any 1 watt amp. All depends on the efficiency of the speaker it's driving.

That is true! Speaker will definitely have its impact. On the other hand - those kind of small amps usualy use 1x10 or 1x12 from different makers and the difference in loudness (SPL) would not be dramatic ..
