Thanks. Subscribed. I’m interested in automation, I’m making a new product which uses some tech from CNC’s, extrusions etc . At the moment I’m working on a optional motorised element which uses open builds belt and pinion a dc motor and microswitch’s. simple enough but I’m completely new to this stuff!

I wish you had links on here for your website and especially you other youtube channel. I can't find either.

You mentioned Arduino. I have a similar question to this video about stepper motors vs. servos. I need to know about differences of the two when it comes to speed and durability. Also some insight to reading their torque rating with speed and strength of their stall speed. Any info would help.

I think a good video series would be to build a cnc using servos. I redid a buddy of mines cnc punch machine. The control system was absolete 10 years ago so I removed the old motion controller and installed a motion controller from a company called Galil. It allows you to use your own servos and amps with there controller and it also includes customizable hmi software also. I really like your vids take care...Tom

I'd like to know how to figure out what force and stroke length to raise a 120lb TV from horizontal to vertical (i.e. 90-degrees). Really stuck on force calc

I have a small project i'm working on in which I would like to quickly tip a coffin (with an actor inside) onto its side so the actor falls out. The coffin will be on a table and dressed accordingly so I can put Actuators or Pistons underneath. My idea is to have 2 Pistons/Actuators under the table and hinge the opposite edge of the coffin to the table so it doesn't move. I'd need a fast action piston/actuator to make the gag look realistic, so what would you suggest? Thanks in advance and great video

I guess the piston or actuator only needs to lift the coffin past a 45 deg angle before the weight of the body does the rest as it rolls out of the coffin.

Thanks for watching Tom. I do a lot more CNC related stuff on my other channel Neo7CNC. I'd love some insight.

Hey, what would I need in order to be able to control force, so let's say it's some kind of actuator that can pull max force of 100lbs but if I set it half way then I can still pull the full range of actuator range but it would be 50 lbs, quarter setting 25lbs, ect.??? So like a shock absorber but with on the fly resistance control?

I'm really not trying to be an asshole here, however why on earth would people pay for a little piece of metal, that can get lost, when there is literally a very simple knot that does this same thing?
