These came out beautifully. Not bad for a first timer using my ‪@aievehome‬ Snack Coater. It's a bit long winded but I wanted to show you the full process.

    Thanks, watch this space as the only reason I got it was to incorporate it into my freeze drying, I just want to learn how to use it very well first.

    If I hadn’t seen it in the thumbnail I would’ve thought “no way does this work!” I know I called it a cement mixer yesterday but after hearing the word tumble, I realized the machine I saw years ago was a rock polisher. That’s what this is! It’s a candy polisher (with help from the powder squirted in later. It ended up looking real nice! I’m impressed! And in the back of my mind I hoped I had a little influence on what almost everyone else is talking about in their comments. See? Don’t have to look at the camera, just like in your freeze dryer unboxing video. Good job 👍

    Want to give you a recipe I found on KZread one part canola oil, one part of the aerobic stuff you buy you heat it up and you pour it on the nuts. It makes it shiny that’s from a professional cake decorator or something that was on KZread I don’t know. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m gonna but I’m gonna try your way too.

    Thank you for taking us along for the test run. I was a little skeptical at first, but they turned out great. You do have patience, not one of best qualities. Can’t wait to see your other ideas for this. Thanks again 😊. Thinking…..I wonder if you could do white chocolate and as the last add in use colored sprinkles or something like that. Guess it would depend on how dry the chocolate was 🤔🤔🤔

    I’m curious if the honey and salt coating on the almonds interfered with the chocolate adhesion in the beginning. I was worrying that it was seizing up the chocolate at first. More coats overcame that, I think (if it indeed was a problem) so now I wonder if doing plain roasted almonds would be even easier. Interested to see. Thanks for all your work you do for us. Love it!

    I wonder if you put a little chocolate in before the nuts that would have grabbed ahold immediately. I'm just thinking that. You read directions on the unit. I have not.

    Actually i think it would do just the opposite, I think the nuts would stick worse. But you never know until you try!

    Hello! After applying the shine coating (same as yours) the almonds were all stuck and not shiny. I twisted it for 10+10 minutes and the proportions were 2 tablespoons of powder + 2 tablespoons of water. What do you recommend doing?

  • @JohnInBibs

    @JohnInBibs

    They do get sticky at first. You have to keep it tumbling and knock them loose the will eventually stop sticking. Also be very skimpy on the amount you use. Really you could get away with about a quarter top or even less. It doesn't take a lot

    I am not so sure this is worth the time and trouble. Several hours seems to be very time consuming. The entire process is way to long for the amount of time expended. I did think of popped corn and caramel with peanuts.
