@@bengkengleow1342 of course Li couldn’t lead this squad to VNL champion. She is not volleyball god after all. Replacing Li with Zhu, the current second best Chinese player, this team won’t get into final 8

putting Gao Yi on court was the turning point of the match! Her blocking has given a very support to the Chinese team, creating a whole bunch of opportunities to other Chinese hitters! She is way better than other Chinese blockers in blocking, a huge threat to other teams if she can accumulate more experience!

Others like what you have just mentioned like drews, Robinson and Washington are not new players. This is not a NEW team involving 4-5 new players on court! Just do your simple math! It’s time for you to accept this loss and admit that you are exaggerating!

I was so happy to see Gao Yi on THE COURT!! SHE WAS MY FAVORITE IN THE Volleyball World Grand Prix. I always love watching my two favorite teams going against each other.

I think mostly China volleyball association won't allow LYY play outside China. Although many senior volleyball coaches advice LYY should allow play outsite china, not only LYY, many other China top player too.

@@kristoncartwright4165 wrist injury was a convenient excuse. She played well in Italian league the whole season and rested most than one month before the first match of VNL 23. The real reason why she refused to play for Chinese national team is that the Chinese volleyball association CVA forbids players to appear in commercials without approval from the CVA officials. Chinese players like Zhu were forced to lie because the Chinese officials were dictators

Yeah Plummer did well. When she rotates to the back court, the US score run gets halted even on good passes. They gotta do something about those blocks and errors. 🧐

The box scores show how many attacks Cook and Drews threw in. China adjusted to Drews, as her shots tend to become predictable, while Cook was having difficulty adjusting against those blockers. Was hoping Thompson would come in to help out. To me, out of system or not, Plummer and Thompson can terminate balls. It was great watching them in the club LoL

USA has an awesome prelim performance losing only twice in hard fought 5-set match despite using different roster every week. China has more prepping time for VNL since Chinese league finished early while others are still playing in the Champions League. Also China has same group of players since week 1 and they have a much tighter connection and it shows here.

Finally a good match in the end 😂❤🎉

USA is stronger on paper, but not by a lot. You'll also notice that China fielded their absolute best team, while the USA coach changes his lineup every match because he thinks it's cool or something. By now, it should be very settled who the starting left sides are, who the main setter is, and Drews should be benched. Instead, we get this nonsense.

@@user-iu1ru1qz7u China definitely did not field its best team, Cai Bin has not allowed Olympic and World Cup gold medallist and China's best setter, Ding Xia on court. He's using the vnl to give practice time to Diao Linyu. China also played without Zhu, Zhang, Liu and Yan.

hard to say. Yaodi is Zhu's lesbian girlfriend. Zhu wants yaodi to be the team mates in national team. that's why U can see yaodi in Scandicci. the coach of Chinese national team don't think Yao is a good choice for the team. there also be some scandles about Zhu in commercial advertisement. Zhu sue the people for her fame, but proceeding just ended silently. no one knows if zhu really wins, and that deepening people's doubts. People are criticizing Zhu for playing liga in latly which looks so healthy, then refusing the national team all the time.

At 7:35 we go from USA up 2 to USA down 6 in the third set. The set is eventually lost by 7. The match is edited so that we see none of the salient deciding points! Edit better!
