Lubian was on fire but all the team played really well. Love Egonu's powerful attacks and serves with speed over 100 km/h. It was a good second week of VNL for Italy.

Egonu’s a spike monster. The ball goes flying with speed and power. I wouldn’t want to be at the receiving end of her spikes 😅

I miss the old China team under Lang Ping. It is a shame seeing a once great team in such sharp decline.

Don’t think putting Zhu on court can win against Italy but probably it wouldn’t be a 0-3. The blocks and defence in China are not capable to stop Italy’s world class spikers and their powerful serves.

Es una lástima que ese nivel no lo haya mostrado ante un rival más en forma y de mayor jerarquía como Brasil. Por eso tuvo que ser cambiada por Fahr quien en mi opinión bloquea mejor y ataca mejor. Lubian si es de destacar con el saque. Ojalá que el entrenador de Italia vea la forma como puedan jugar juntas Paola Egonu como opuesta y Antropova como punta receptora. En esta VNL debe probarlas porque Stella y Ekaterina Bosetti no rinden parejo y se van del partido. Una lástima también la ausencia de Elena Pietrini a quien pediría postergue el tratamiento definitivo de la lesión crónica que tiene porque en esta Olimpiada próxima se la va a necesitar y son oportunidades únicas en la vida

Gli obiettivi dell'Italia sono a breve la qualificazione olimpica e il principale l'oro olimpico, comunque il black-out sul 2-1 15-11 col Brasile (simile al crollo della semifinale dell'anno scorso con la Turchia) devono far riflettere giocatrici e allenatori per evitarne il ripetersi in futuro. In questa formazione a me personalmente piacciono poco Orro e Sylla, ma ho molta fiducia in Velasco (e Bernardi e Barbolini) e quindi spero nella bontà delle loro valutazioni. Tra tutte poi quella che ha la mia fiducia totale rimane sempre Moki.

Italy had a more balanced offense today with Sylla, Bosetti, and Lubian contributing a lot. This helps relieve the pressure on Egonu. A great way to end week 2! ❤🇮🇹🇨🇳

Italy team players are really strong.

I wouldn't be supporting this Chinese team since 2016 if not for Zhu Ting. Seeing the coach put her only to serve and bench her most of the time was frustrating. Not to mention, I think most chinese players have issues with Zhu Ting , especially the one's who are close with her during their prime and domination of the volleyball scene. Zhu Ting rarely smile and I can see she's uncomfortable. And to think that Zhu Ting is the main reason why China is always at the podium finish years back. This is very sad and frustrating 💔💔🇨🇳

yea their is so much internal conflicts within the national team. You can tell base on how they play with eachother. it doesnt feel like they are playing as a team.

As an Chinese 11 years fan I would say the biggest problem within the team is the coach, we had to potential to win today but the coach ruined it all. I couldn’t understand why Zhu isn’t playing today, not all all. It was never the players fault but on the coach😢. But I love the girls and I know they’ve got it so come on girls ❤ and also congrats to Italy

During the match with Thailand Zhu ting acted like a coach gathering all the players and giving out game strategies to them while the Chinese coach just folded his arms. He felt like he lost face from what Zhu ting did and humiliated her today but letting her play just serving one ball and benched her after. Everyone knows that Zhu ting is not good at serving

Concludo le mie chiacchiere con qualche riflessione: quanto è bello cambiare la diagonale con Cambi e Antropova? Chi ha un cambio così? Non ci luccicano gli occhi? Vedere entrare Antroipova con quel sorrisone fa sempre piacere , Egonu mi pare stia tornando a livelli di efficienza veramente molto alti . Diamo i numeri. + 9,3 punti ranking Miglior rapporto (sia pure di pochissimo: 1,200 contro 1,199 della Polonia) tra punti fatti e subiti. N° 17: WOW! Zhu Ting is not the same Zhu Ting before her major injury. I dont think she’ll make a difference in this game. She was put it during their game with Japan and didn’t really do much damage. Played against Thailand and won, but Thailand is not really that strong. I think Zhu, at this point, is only a second stringer. Hoping to see her more explosive spikes soon. She’ll get her form back and maybe slow start with the national teal will help her get back there. For now, let’s pray that China still makes it to the olympics.

we all know Zu Thing had a great season in Italy and she needs on-court time in tough matches to get a good momentum with her national team. Not being given the time needed, China's fans can't expect her to perform at her best when the finals arrive. Nessuno ha detto che Antropova ed Egonu non possano giocare assieme. L'unico modo, però, di poterlo fare è convertire Antropova in schiacciatrice, come Santarelli ha fatto con Karakurt. Velasco già a inizio mandato aveva affermato che tale ipotesi non sarebbe stata al momento praticabile perché per convertire un'opposta in schiacciatrice bisogna comunque allenarla alla ricezione, fondamentale che un'opposta di fatto mai utilizza e non è qualcosa che si possa fare in un attimo. Io ho la sensazione che in un futuro molto prossimo questa strada Velasco abbia intenzione di percorrerla o, quantomeno, di provarci. Vedremo.

He tried to prove everyone wrong by thinking they could win without Zhu ting but they didnt. He favoured one of player who sucks and made her on the lineup which is stupid. hopefully he realize the importance of having Zhu ting on the team or else they are out!

Zhu Ting has been dealing with a wrist injury that requires careful management, leading to her intermittent appearances. She is focusing on her recovery to ensure she can return to regular competition once fully healed.
