Punching the air or playing Mordhau. They have some stuff to work on before it'll be competitive, but they leaned into what we like about Chivalry.

The fact that they added throwable items, including heads, rocks, barrels and animals. And added things like launching players on trebuchets just adds such an awesome fun element to the game.

@@MyViolador Probably not first day. people are probably a bit bored of Mordhau by now or atleast just want something new in the same shape. But it won't ever be a giant titan of gaming, it will drop off in numbers hard like Mordhau, especially if they adopt the zero effort policy that Mordhau did with it's community. For 5 minutes people were praising it but quickly realised it just meant the game's community was a dumpsterfire and no one got punished for anything so there was no reason to play, just troll, which was funny for a week on release but basically made the game a joke after that.

@@robfus it's nowhere near as bad but since dragging is a mechanic and latency exists, it will always still be a thing that's genuinely the strongest way to play. As long as dragging is a mechanic they cant stop it, even mordhau tried to slow you down hugely while swinging to stop it and all it really stopped was the 180 degree overhead, not the rest of the instant hitting.

@@FOxXyYgRaMpA 1:25 you see those drags? In past games this is abusable, so you could spin fast and have your weapon start inside your enemy’s hitbox or such. Top level play had characters doing weird twists and turns that abuse the animation

They seem really similar but in practice they feel a lot different to play. It's hard to describe the difference, so I'll just say it's sort of like how cod and battlefield are the same game on paper, but very different in practice.

well they had no money matters Mirage. that's why this is getting published by Tripwire, epic pays developers upfront before release so they get money really quickly that can go right to development.

This looks gory ASF!!, my kind of taste.

From what I've heard and seen so far, mordhau combat is definitely still better than this, but chiv 2 looks like it has better map design and it feels like you're fighting a war with stuff going on in the distance instead of just a battle.

Get Mordhau if you want a competitive focus, Chiv if you want more casual memey fun (Though Mord strikes a nice balance, if u don't care for competition/skill than Chiv is better, this isn't an insult btw I'll be playing it too :D)
