how many fish can you harvest? per day limit?

It doubles the capacity. With a good run and all the fish going to one side, you would fill way to fast.

Could I ask why the slides don't empty to a box on the same side, otherwise brilliant piece of kit.

But there IS a season limit. Presently 35 for head of house/single, plus 10 fish per person in your family for the season. Restrictions on kings varies per AKF&G.

So the fish have to swim upstream and spin your wheel at the same time?!? Shame on America for using fish to generate their electricity!

Have you seen the way the bears do it? Or large fish in the sea, eating smaller fish? Even people have to eat, friend, and fish are easier to come by than veggies up here in Alaska.

Disgusting tasting fish. They aren't called tuna, mackerel, flounder, or halibut. They're called salmon which in Latin means garbage.

wrong. The latin word for garbage is quisquiliarum. The latin word for salmon is salmo.

When the native Alaskan's, Innuit, first encountered Yermak Timofeyevich in July 1591 on what is now known as the Alaskan peninsula, they greeted him and welcomed him and his crew with a banquet. The banquet included what the Innuit called "yimycop" which Yermak understood to mean garbage. The Inniuit first took preserved (dried) yimycop on an expedition to Naples and further to Augustus Caesar in Rome on the 17th of September 23 a.d.. The yimycop had become spoiled and molded, but they didn't have anything else to offer. When Caesar asked what it was, the Innuit said "that's some yimycop" (meaning gargage). Caesar misinterpreted them to say "that's salmon" and the name stuck. Years later the Senate found out about this misinterpretation and confronted Caesar on the Senate floor, an argument ensued and they killed Caesar. The Italians didn't know what to do and one of the Senators who was fond of the letter q hurriedly blurted out quisquiliarum. This is all documented in the museum of theMorris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center located in Fairbanks, Alaska - next to the bingo parlor.

@@FISHH00KS Cool history lesson aside, what does any of that have to do with the (admittedly subjective) taste of salmon? There are many of us who really like it.
