Hey Tim !! Glad to see that you use the excavator to load the chipper as back a while ago ,, a 6yr.old boy was helping his Dad & went thru the chipper !! Always good to be on the safe side of things like this machine !!!!

Hey Tim, I’m recommending a tool that would be VERY beneficial to you since you work a lot by yourself like I do. Reipal tree jack (they have like 6 different models) I bought the largest one the VI model. It puts around 8,000 pounds of force on the tree when felling. It almost eliminates the need for a rope or 2nd guy to pull the tree. They aren’t cheap (around $1,400.00 or so) but they are well worth the money and I think you would use it a lot. Anyways, great videos as always!

I’ve been thinking about one of those. Amazon has them for $1,200.00, expensive, but it’s a quality tool. Not really justifiable for us because we wouldn’t need it that much because there’s always two of us and we have equipment.

@@PurpleNovember I Have front end loaders, grinders, etc. I’ll say it’s nice to have this in the truck when you’re at a job and don’t wanna pull out ropes and machines or mess with wedges and all that. This has been a game changer for me.

@@austin_hExactly what we were thinking. Most of the stuff we do is our own trees unless it’s storm cleanup. Yeah the time savings alone is huge, and saving wear and tear on the ropes helps us. How heavy are they?

Your method is much safer to load into chipper. I wish others would follow your lead to chip. Saves time compared to pushing & burning.

Oh man! Thank you so much. I absolutely have to do this. My ditchwitch is nothing like your excavator you have wayyy better reach and control. My grapple and rope bollard is buried in that winch every stuff attempt.. i love your setup and efficiency.
