Chippewa Flowage Fishing Trip: A Father and Son Adventure 🎣

In this video, I share a recent fishing trip with me and my dad 'TY'. He recently turned 70 years old, so we booked a trip to the great North Woods of Wisconsin on the Chippewa Flowage. We learned a lot, to say the least...Enjoy!

About This Channel 🙋🏼‍♂️

I mainly fish in freshwater lakes and rivers in Florida for crappie, bass, bluegill, catfish, shellcracker, panfish and anything else that will bite (I'm not that picky!).
I fish out of my 2015 Carolina Skiff JV17 with my Dad "TY" who can be seen in a lot of my videos.
I use live bait, artificials, natural baits- you name it. I like all methods, tactics, styles, and species. I just love to fish! 🎣

Great video. I've been to the Chippewa. It is a big body of water and hard to figure out. If you and your dad want to catch walleye i would suggest going to the Wisconsin river just below the Wisconsin Dells Dam. A place called Rivers Edge. The walleye bite is amazing and it's an awesome lodge.

I would have kept all the Rock Bass. The Chippewa Flowage is very big and if you dont know how to fish it its hard. If you want to catch muskies theres plenty of smaller lakes in the area that have numbers and good size that are easy to catch or find any spot on the Chippewa River in fall up there and your guaranteed to get a Muskie

The water is low, they have drawn the level down already. In my opinion the Chip is getting harder and harder to catch fish on every year. I have been out there with a guide and I ran into the same thing, lack luster enthusiasm, almost felt like the guide felt defeated before we started fishing because his lively hood is dependent on catching fish but if the fish aren't there what a person to do.

Yep that sounds very similar to what we experienced...no urgency to find biting fish, and it was obvious he was frustrated and would have rather been doing something else.
