Never has, never will be. This was the peak of 90's sketch shows. These days you couldn't make anything like this without offending someone. Truly a shit time to be alive.

Easily the best UK sketch show ever. Most difficult question in the world: "who's your favourite Fast Show character?" Doesn't matter which one you come up with, someone will remind you of another equally brilliant character. Personally I loved Competitive Dad. Then again, Channel 9 was also side-splitting...

Was there ever a sketch where they diliberately said the wrong thing to him and he misheard and did what they wanted? Because there should have been. It could have been the final one.

"Chip - if you could just hold your gun straight that would be terrific." "You want me to run straight into traffic? Okay." _Later, in hospital, Chip is in bed hooked up to life support and his lower body in plaster_ "Chip, it's awful, they're saying you'll never walk again." "Stab myself with a fork and a pen? You're the boss." _Chip stabs himself with a pen and a fork_ "Chip, you've blinded yourself in both eyes! And we're not even on a shoot! And I'm just the hospital janitor. I've just noticed that in the last sketch the director's name changes from Danny to Guy. That aside it is clear that Chip was hired by a rival producer to wreck the production.

here's my one director: Chip we got a bit of a problem with the set and we just need to put it right, why don't you go back to the dressing room and come back later? Chip: get in a fight with the Alligator? right...........ARRRRRRGH

They missed a joke with this. They should've had the production crew gradually cog on to the likelihood, and actually end up patching together the movie based on what he might mishear everything as.
