Chinos or Khakis? I'm comparing a bunch! GAP, Polo, Dockers, JCrew and more!
Khakis are a men's style staple and I'm looking for a new favorite. I'm comparing Target, Gap, JCrew, JCrew Factory, Uniqlo, polo, goodthreads, and Dockers!

I have been on a chino buying spree lately...I’ve bought a pair in every color that Ralph Lauren has to offer...sometimes a few pair of the same color. For me, they are the most comfortable chinos I’ve ever worn. They are a little more expensive than the average pair of chinos, but they last forever...wash after wash. You can also catch them when they’re on sale and that’s even better!!
great. Thanks for the history of the khaki/chino... the reviews here are helpful too. Keep them coming!
Awesome video! Your videos are exactly the type of video i've been looking for. I like the amount of options you use and the criteria for the comparisons. They really help with my buying decisions. I would love to see an oxford shirt comparison video!
Kahis are casual dress pants. Chinos are casual pants. Kahki is also a color of pants. The light kahki color looks like a tan / darker cream color.
I just wanted to say that you can find a whole bunch of J.Crew now in thrift stores for extremely cheap. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a lot of them were donated by J.Crew themselves since they went bankrupt. Anyways, as long as you visually inspect them to make sure there is nothing wrong with them, you should definately pick those up. Also, just wanted to add that I much prefer the thinner nature of Goodfellow's chinos, as it is much cooler in the summer. That being said, the threading leaves some to be desired, which is honestly much more important to me.
Excellent review, man. I'm on the market for a pair of olive colored chinos so this narrows it down. Not surprised Dockers came in last, btw 😉
The JCF was the Baby Bear not the Goldilocks... Great review though. Much appreciated. 👍 I like BB's Clark and Milano fit (when on sale), Everlane and Lee Extreme Comfort have great fits for those who prefer more of a trouser rise over the conventional below the hip rise.
Great review. Just bought some chinos from “gape” yesterday. I went with the skinny and I never wear skinny. But I wanted to give em a try, so I did. I got them on sell 40% off and I must say they very comfortable. I can do a full squat in these pants that’s how much I can say lol. But great review man. Let’s talk oxford !!

Pat if you are still reading this... when you bout those Chinos did you go a size down or up at all? if you read my above message I purchase some online from A&F. For a skinny chino (never wear chinos) they seem like parachute pants. I normally wear 33x32 in skinny jeans.
I ordered a pair of navy Driggs from J. Crew Factory and oddly, they fit me like a straight cut. I did not keep these. Next, I went to GAP and tried their navy slim chinos and their olive slim chinos. The difference? Just as with J. Crew Factory, the navy slim chinos fit like a straight... On the other hand, their olive slim chinos fit exactly like a slim should fit. So, am I'm seeing a theme with navy chinos or is it just me?
Hey if your out there... I'm 47 just got into Chinos. Looking at buying some Khakis from Gap. I bought a pair of chinos from A&F but the weird thing is they sorta feel like they are a bit big. I wear a size 33x32 but still they just feel big. HELP! They almost feel like ahhh parachute pants.
I think you might need 30 length.
I liked the video, but I think it would have been better if you edited more the video like when you give the rating you can show it in the screen (real numbers) and put a sound effect when you show it. The video would look more "professional". Keep it up
You said the opposite of what the 'gentlemans gazette' here on youtube said as far as the history and terminology.
