As a former hunter I actually love and respect Cougars. I swore to NEVER hunt them, wolves, or other predators. They have it hard enough as it is. To this day, I think I was being checked out by one once. Never saw it, but I NEVER had my hair stand up on end like that and all the wild life go silent around me like that. The woods are their home. Respect that!

My faith in humanity is renewed when I watch stories like this.

Just like lions, they have spots when they're little but they fade away as they grow. Big cats also usually have bright blue eyes when they're babies, and then they shift to amber colored.

The cutie is grown up now...😍🥰😘😘😘😘😘

And likewise you probably don't understand that under the right circumstances a full grown Cougar would kill and eat you and think nothing of it .

Cougars are a specifically protected species and here this woman calls the needless killing by hunters for fun „human activity“. Can’t get more euphemistic than that.

I like that the kitty was grabbing groceries from the backs of trucks at a grocery store. That's adaptation to civilization. Not killing, just swiping groceries. That's kind of cute actually. You know, I think most of the big cats have it figured out, they know humans have taken over the world, and that they shouldn't kill them because there will be consequences. That's why only like a few dozen people have ever been killed by cougars in the whole of recorded human history.

I need a couple of these. I've had nearly a dozen cats eaten by Coyotes. It's time to turn the table on those canids! I'm saving up the money right now. I've already looked online at the different places that sell these awesome creatures.

Have you tried big cat urine? Worked for us and kept the deer from eating the gardens empty.

They are just cats. Cute ones though. I can't find any much difference.

How come the baby cougars are spotted, but adults are not?

The Cubs are adorable, but the adults are a living wrecking ball. Oregon is currently lousy with these animals, killed 5 in one year due to predation on our family's livestock. OSP and government trapper had some pretty alarming stories to tell about how prolific Pumas are in Oregon.

they should let all the animals out of the zoo and put all the people there in the zoo.

Most animals in zoos were born in captivity and lack the skills they need to survive in the wild

Need to have more education on how to do this I mean it's not rocket science people you don't have to kill the animal in order to make man realize that he doesn't have to kill the animal in order to coexist with them

"victim of circumstances" no, victims of human cruelty. There is no reason to hunt a cougar, none. If it is a farmer defending his flock? then the farmer shouldn't be there. End of story. People who hunt cougars for sport? They should be hunted instead. PERIOD.

Or you could recreate the wild life

If I found a mountain lion kitten eating my groceries in the back seat of my car, I'd be more likely to keep it than call any authorities. It wouldn't happen though because I wouldn't leave the car unlocked let alone with the windows open. Mountain lions, cheetahs and snow leopards are the ones that are naturally much the same as domesticated housecats, they're basically a large breed of cat and not psychologically different from a housecat or potentially dangerous like a lion, tiger or leopard.
