"I had these tokens in order but then I got distracted by a horse" is a great sentence by itself, but it's even better when you realise what horse Wheeler almost definitely means.

Martha was a fantastic character absolutely ruined by the fact that she had all these brilliant character traits and then each plot point with her was "the doctor doesn't love me, I'm not rose". The writing did her so dirty. Oh yeah also absolutely adored this episode been really looking forward to it!

The best thing to happen to her in the show was the doctor leaving her alive in her own time zone.

My favorite is "Heaven Sent" with 12. Capaldi pretty much monologues for 40 minutes and it's utterly captivating.

Wheeler has become such an important part of LRR (for me). All of the energy he just brings to all of the LRR stuff is so amazing.

Seeing Graham with a proper coiffed head of hair pleases me so, so much.

My favorite episode of Doctor Who is 'The Mind Robber', an absolutely wild Second Doctor story that features a 'Land of Fiction', a filler episode mostly taking place in a white void, Rapunzel, a fake comic book hero named 'The Karkus', and an entire sequence rearranging Jamie's face so they could recast him for 2 episodes while the actor had the flu.

The second Doctor era is defiantly in contention for my favorite eras of the show - episodes like Mind Robber, The War Games and Enemy of the World are amazing. It's a shame that the 60s episodes have such a high barrier of entry (I don't mind the reconstructed and animated episodes but they're not for everyone)

Agreed. I was most disappointed there was not a Zoe in her catsuit card.

Graham resisting the urge to explain the Chameleon Arch was delightful.

I love how Ulmer and Graham had the same elation when Wheeler revealed the Adipose BUT FOR COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REASONS.

My compliments to whoever decided to play a vine boom sound whenever someone fumbled the planar die roll

my favorite doctor who episode is this episode of elder dragon social club (these decks are awesome and are legit the first commander decks in years that really excited me)

This was so much fun! But also, these decks are now on the Wheel of Precons, and I really hope one of them gets hit there sometime! (Or maybe a Universes Beyond special episode with Doctor Who, Warhammer 40000, Lord of the Rings, and something else. That'd be silly fun!)

Fun game. But I have to agree with the final conclusion, these are complicated decks and I kinda worry about the Dr Who fan that this is their first exposure to playing MTG. I really like both Paradox Power and Timey-Wimey, but they are precons that make me work hard to pilot them.

Well, when you start messing with time and space things should get a bit complicated, so is lore friendly.

Probably worth casting the X spells you hit with the diary just to get them out from under the diary so you don't hit them again.

This decks are so fun! Seeing Wheeler come around on both DW and Universes Beyond in like a couple of months was something I didn't see coming but I'm always glad when people find something new to enjoy. That is probably the best outcome these products can have. Plus, they are designed with so much heart and attention to detail. I have never been more happy about some random land art where I can point and say: This is from Kinda and be ureasonably happy about it. My favorite episode is probably Heaven Sent from NuWho and from Classic Who its Curse of Fenric cause Seven is my Doctor :)

at time code 39:58 and yes there is a 'Fantastic Journey' episode titled 'Into the Dalek' in the Capaldi era. there's Dalek anti-bodies, a stomach juice scene and cool visauls as they enter through the eye stalk.

There's also sort of a Fantastic Journey in the classic era, in The Invisible Enemy the 4th Doctor and leela get infected by an alien parasite so they are cloned and the miniature clones are injected into the doctor in order to fight the parasite

1:10:57 [me, totally not waiting to see if the dairy’s restrictions would get remembered before it was relevant] My favorite episode is the one with Van Gogh because it’s 1 of 2 episodes that I remember my college roommate watched 12 years. The other one had cybermen, but the people inside were crying, so it makes me sad.

The only way you could make this better would be to have the Professor as a party member as he is also a major doctor who fan. This combo of people however shine like the surface of the planet Midnight

So happy this video is out. The weather sucks today and this is just what the Doctor ordered.

I think I got a scarf from the exact same place Graham got that one. There's a Lady on the Island who knits verry long scarves. They're unbelievably warm.

As a Wisconsinite I appreciate the attention, but would like to point out that tator tot hot dish is more of a Minnesota thing. Pickles on grilled cheese does slap though.

I love that the instant they reach the Crash of the Byzantium, River Song and Her Diary show up.

I was interested to see that this was a two hour long video, and then I realized that it's commander planchase. That makes so much more sense now.😅

Waited SO long to find out what 'Chinook is at 3' means, and it was absolutely worth it. Epic game, a joy to watch.

These precons are very cool! I know next to nothing about Dr.Who, but I loved the way these decks interacted! Definitely a cool use of mechanics new and old.

The war doctor actually does count every single card you exile for cascade, because the game will check each card you hit because you "exile until" so you flip them one at a time Edit: i made this comment right after wheeler said that it wouldnt count multiple times to ben. Then immediately after that he used the correct ruling, my bad for not watching the video before leaving a comment

Instead of any rules comments, my favorite Dr Who episode is Heaven Sent. It's one of the only Capaldi episodes I've seen but its just great and I love his speech at the end.

My favorite episode is The Zygon Inversion! It made Capaldi my favorite Doctor and that's why I root for whomever is playing Paradox Power in a 4 pre-con pod

Wow, Ben and Kathleen are voicing *all* my intrusive thoughts today!

Kathleen's history with Tom Baker falling into quarries sounds a lot like my sister's history with clowns on Sesame Street. My sister does still have coulrophobia. And yeah, there are a _lot_ of moving parts in these decks...

Did not expect a blists hill reference pure uncut grade a nostalgia , living in Shropshire I must’ve been like 5 times on school trips and whatnot. Of course my main memory is that they always had a shire horse hanging about when I visited, those horses are so large.

Favorite episode is definitely the two parter The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. "Everybody lives!" is such a hopeful, exuberant moment.

Given it's Dr Who, should have named "Spells you've cast from anywhere other than your hand this turn" ONCOMING Storm

Clearly k-9 was a Tyrannosaurus/Rex. Also, at about 1:30, my favourite classic story might be Remembrance of the daleks, new who Christmas invasion would be right up there.

I'm only 20 seconds in and I already love that this episode exists and that G has a 4th doctor scearf for it

This was just so much fun to watch. Not just the wonderful the cards and all the flavour text and art, but Graham and Wheeler's reactions as fans both long time and recent. This set was clearly made by folks with a deep love for Doctor Who.

It is interesting how much Doctor Who and DBZ have in common Like how most major plot moments / confrontations, take place in a giant empty rock quarries

This was so much fun to watch. These decks seems really good, flavor and gameplay wise !

I have sparely watched Doctor Who and Torchwood but loved Class. I was heartbroken it did not receive a second season.

Wheeler's machine worked! Instead of a comment about the River Song's Diary misplays, I instead wrote a comment about how my favourite episode of Doctor Who is the 5 billion year in the future party at the end of the world where the host has a jukebox that plays Toxic by Britney Spears!

I ran into the demonstrate multiple turns combo when playing Paradox Power and was also confused on how to resolve. Happy to watch you all work through it as well.

My favorite single episode is probably Blink, but my favorite story is the 2-part Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead

Many people may consider older Dr. Who episodes slow. But I've watched a bit of the first doctor, which includes some of my favorite episodes, including a few episodes about a Legend of Zelda type storyline (about 20 years earlier) and an episode where the team is tiny and stops a corporation from killing all the world's bees with insecticide (for profit of course) Well written episodes in my opinion with plots way ahead of it's time!

There's already a great name in this episode. Ben plays a card that has a keyword based on the number of cards you've played not from your hand: Paradox. 'Paradox count is at one' is a satisfying thing to say.

I normally save my comments until the end but I am here immediately to cheer for the return of the classic Wheeler intro, it always makes me smile

I want to build a Missy deck just so I can sing "Hey Missy you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, Hey Missy"

I think it’s interesting that all the universes beyond commander decks are based on British ips. 40k, LotR and now dr who.

My favorite episode of Doctor Who is The Waters of Mars. An amazing and humbling episode for the tenth doctor and everyone in it is wonderful.
