I've been pinning my hair in the exact same way as she did in the video, and I learned it from somewhere else. But I can attest from my personal experience that it actually works and keeps my hair tied for hrs even if I walk around and move my head up and down. I have very thick and long hair just like hers.

I have a cute pin but my brain won't process these steps. Looks easy but my brain won't follow. (Stabbed my scalp multiple times lol careful guys). Beautiful hairstyles

I have lots of hair and very long just like hers, and the way she does it actually keep the hair tied for hrs. There're many different ways out there for shorter thinner hair that didn't work on mine, maybe you can try them

hello! Honestly speaking, at the end of the day hanfu are just clothes-I see no issue in wearing the clothes+hairstyle to any event, be it a convention or everyday life. Honestly, as long as you're not wearing it with the intention to humiliate, there is no problem. I hope you have fun wearing it tho! Btw i am Han Chinese myself, if it helps :3

You can set the playback speed to 0.25, located under the setting symbol on the top right corner of the video. I'm definitely going to do that when I try one of those hairstyle. Too fast!
