You're eating the claypot rice wrong. You're not suppose to mix the side and let it form a crust and then eat that. that's basically the best part of the claypot rice.

点都德 makes the same sound in Cantonese as 点都得, meaning “however you want it” 怎么都可以 in Mandarin.

I can see a lot of work you put in making the videos. I know the stories of each dish because I grew up in China but for foreigners to visit and be able to describe each dish like that, it’s something to applaud for! Keep up the good work!

Love this episode. Everything looks delicious. That's the beat char siu I've ever seen. The mill dessert looks interesting.

That choice of tea is superb! I simply love 鐵觀音, it not only warms your stomach but it also helps to reduce the 'oily' effect of Dim Sum.

Mushrooms looked very interesting. I like to try the claypot rice. We have it here where I live but I think the one there should taste very different, and the best part is it has vegetables in it making it a complete meal. 😋

I love Northern China, but I have to admit the Southern regions have some of the best food, Cantonese style food is one of my favs right next to Sichuan. I loved this video! BTW-Some people when they have steamed rice in clay pots would put water in the bottom let it sit and drink the rice water...I wonder if you guys have heard of them doing that.

Yes, some people will pour hot water on the bottom. The water brings out the fragrance and flavors of the "burnt" rice.
