I love mandarim oranges! One of my aunts used to have an orange tree, unfortunately most time they only grew in the winter, so we could barely enjoy its freshness in a hot summer, and they have different names here! Some people (like me) call it "Mexerica", some calls it "Tangerina" and there's a few who calls it "Bergamota", it's so fun to know that they represent gifting gold to your loved ones!

I enjoyed this video so much - it was really interesting learning about these Chinese New Year snacks (most of which I knew nothing about), and the video itself was fun to watch. Thank you so much for sharing these traditions with us!

i LOVE stuff like this, it is very educational IMO and helps others understand other cultures and the things they celebrate, eat or do on special occasions. i think it's a very sweet thing to know of.

At first, I most wanted to try the pineapple roll, and the tart. But the Nian Gao looks so delicious, I'd choose that if I had to pick just one. Happy New Year, Mr and Mrs Bacon!
