President Joe Biden on Tuesday unveiled steep tariff increases on an array of Chinese imports including electric vehicle batteries, computer chips, and medical products, in a bid to woo voters who give his economic policies low marks.
Producer prices-the cost of goods and services paid by businesses-rose hotter than expected in April, adding to concerns that the U.S. economy could be in the middle of another inflation wave.
U.S. and British officials warned on Tuesday of a growing cyber threat from China, with the White House cyber director saying Beijing was capable of causing havoc in cyberspace and a UK spy agency chief warning of an "epoch-defining" challenge.

I buy who ever has the best deal. The tariffs on cars is stupid. He let the IT industry die, he killed the automotive and housing. Guess he just wants to finish the job.
EVs are not even imported in US! 😅

CN should just sell at a higher price in the West or levy its on export tariffs on export of EVs rather than give them the chance to raise taxes on their middle income group CN's largest customers. US imposes tariffs to protect its oligarchs who fund them. With cheaper EVs old gas guzzlers would be retired saving US middle income $$$ and greener for the environment. Many cannot afford Tesla or even KR's ie., KiA as too highly priced now.
