Chinese Bluegrass Band 10-year-old boy jams after playing mandolin for less than a month--Red Wing
Shi Rang started to play bluegrass flat-picking guitar 5 months ago when he came to Dali. Last month he began playing the mandolin and found he could apply flat-picking on mandolin, and he learned to play many bluegrass songs on mandolin by himself.

I agree. Don't always appear to be "lost in the music" that you are strumming out. Find a reason to show some personality. A smile can add to the performance. A smile isn't always required, but a smile is useful at times. For example, looking and smiling at the young man picking the mandolin about 0:45--0:50 and/or 1:45--1:50 would be a nice touch. And, you can find other times to put in smiles (or other facial expressions) when they help your performance.
Need to bring back Betsy Chen. She complements your playing perfectly.

I was in a bar several years ago and had just beaten several different guys out of a good amount of money playing pool. When no one else would play, an old Irish guy, who had been sitting there quietly watching the games and nursing a beer, said, I shouldn't, I've only been playing pool for a year, but I'll play ya." He won the first game, then ran two straight racks - and I said, "what the hell, I thought you've only been playing pool for a year!" "That's true enough," he said with a grin and his thick Irish accent; "but, I've been playing snooker since I was a wee lad." He may have only played the mandolin for a month, but I think it's not the first instrument he's played. Plus, I think he has music in his blood and a good teacher in his father! Good music - subscribed.

@@sylviahacker6695- Thanks, I don’t always read the descriptions. Four months on the guitar could give him good chops for the mandolin. I’m less skeptical now. He’s pretty good.
He may have liked the song but not the people that are playing it
