Chinese Advertisers HATE THIS MAN! You won’t believe this mind blowing clickbait trick!

When I got my first full time teaching position in China and looked at the contract, I asked why the amount listed wasn't as high as the advertisement. She replied "Oh that's just an advertisement, that's all -- just to get people to come in." She didn't see any problem. I asked her "If I sold you a Lamborghini but then you realized it was actually a Volkswagen, would that be okay?" She said "Of course not!" I told her "Why not? It's just an advertisement, right?" She was dumbfounded.

I think it might be a product of Western education. We’re taught from a young age to be critical thinkers. We’re taught to understand the “Why?” behind something. My experience with Chinese people is they often haven’t developed that ability. Whenever I’d question something or criticize something, my Chinese wife would respond “That is just China. You don’t understand.” She had no idea why and she couldn’t grasp that I was trying to understand. On top of that, Winston is just good at explaining the reason behind things. He’s an excellent teacher. Some people just have a natural talent for it.

This dovetails nicely with your vid on how as an IT guy your friends/family didn't value your skills enough to want to pay you. Any freelancer and most self-employed persons will have endless stories of complete strangers, like your skateboard guy, who have the full expectation and breathtaking arrogance to demand you jump through their hoops providing them with valuable goods or services while offering nothing of value in return. Inventor-driven. You can tell the guy was personally bothered by shortcomings and decided to solve the issues. Someone not following the herd mentality of a status quo culture. Still keeping some skepticism, of course. Maybe the product isn't actually that innovative (and I was wondering about his water-resistance remarks regarding the zipper of the side compartment), but established Western businesses typically ask a lot of money for such solutions, if they are offering them at all. They prefer to split features across as many products as possible so that people buy several and not just one that covers everything. Might be solely ruthless marketing, but might also be a result of pennycounting business practices. More functions in a product means more development and maintenance effort required.

When I was employed by a major police force in Canada among other things I and my partner did Q and A for our ammunition that was used by our force. We did all our tests according to federal regulations in reference to velocities, chamber pressures, accuracy etc and submited our findings and choose which company we would go with. After submissions by North American companies a Chinese company submitted test samples which didn't meet our criteria . Their agent was quite distressed when we showed him our tests and he could not understand the fact that the Winchester and Federal samples met or exceeded our criteria. His test samples were all over the place when it came to quality. his retort was "the Peoples liberation army " uses our ammunition and my re joiner was " We are not the PLA and perhaps they have different standards then we use"

Of course the point of the video isn't the actual case, so it's fine.

What, do you need it to have flashy lights and whirly things to make it worth buying? It looks like a good, well thought out product to me. It is designed for international travelers that want to travel light, and have easy access to documentation, and yet still have some degree of security. It also has a nice sleek professional look.

Yeah, but so does 100000 other similar cases on the market, really has nothing special, just some plain old boring traveling case, could at least have those 2 straps at the back so it can also be used as a backpack for when terrain makes impossible to use the wheals.

I don't think is as bad as it seems, to a westerner... Like he said.. there is a cultural bridge.. and plenty of Chinese workers are young and inexperienced and don't know how to connect with the needs of other people.. to do a descent sales pitch. I mean.. at least they are trying and with each interactions.. they learn and get a cultural adjustment.

This bag looked quite smart , i am a security officer at an airport , see how people struggle to get their laptops / ipads out by the security checkpoints , good with TSA lock , it will save the back in case we need to look in it (as found/lost or if checked- in due to lack of space in plane ) then we dont have to break it to open it . Material also very strong , rubber wheels are great , most bags are terribly noisy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I will surely look for one .

For a bag this size I'd be happy with two wheels, semi-concealed.

Your videos never disappoint. I've learned a lot about mainland China and its culture. I only knew about the China I was familiar with when I went there in 1996! I've never been back since then. I had a much more unrealistic and idealistic view of China because I didn't really interact with mainland Chinese since around 2006-2010 when I had several mainland Chinese students in my university classes that I taught at two Korean universities. Some were Korean-Chinese (or is it Chinese-Korean?) and they were quite different from Koreans or Chinese. Now I live among primarily Taiwanese and some Koreans in this Southern CA bedroom community, which was primarily Caucasian until about the mid 90s. p.s. The song is perfect! Too many channels use music that annoys and frustrates me. I'm glad to hear something that is fitting for the kind of content you share in your videos.

Yeah, very intelligent design. I'm just worried about the quality of the materials and workmanship. It's the little stuff that Chinese really suck at, like spending 10 cents more for quality metals and plastics. Like how quickly will the zippers rust or get stuck? How tough are the zippers? The plastic exterior? The wheels?

Giving your honest review and feedback on a product can be considered advertising, as you are giving screen time for the product. There's nothing wrong with that, neither there is in "staged" advertising where you are paid to say something. I myself happen to run a small business and I actually want my product reviews to be truthful and honest. If there's a flaw in the product, we can improve it based on the feedback given. The feedback our customers give us is the lifeline of our company. If the idea product is fundamentally flawed or it does not solve a real life problem, it's better to hear that early on and fail fast. Do not fall for sunk cost fallacy.

I used to work at this office where I was the only guy in the office. Our boss would have us all go eat lunch at two thirty, which was just before the lunch menu ended. All the woman were married, and their job was a second income. Hubby paid for everything, they used their money to pay for their car, clothing, and eating out. I lived of my income, and the lunch was expensive. I ate a salad for four bucks, and drink for just under two bucks. All the women spent about fifteen bucks on the meal, and another six on dessert. They also drank quite a bit. We would eat lunch, and go back to the office and just wait unitl it was time to go home. White collar jobs are great. Our office staff would blitz the restaurant, but know one left a tip. I felt guilty, so I slipped a five spot under my plate. Back at the office everyone laugh at me because I paid for my own lunch. They said I was cheap. They never left a tip, but I was the cheap guy who left a tip. Eventually, my salad got bigger, and bigger. Tipping helps. One woman got the salad because my salad look so good, but she got the small salad. She complained to the manager, and the guy came out and said "That guy pays eleven buck for that salad, do you want to pay eleven bucks." The manager was tired of us coming in while they were trying to get ready for supper crowd, so I think that's why he yelled at her. Eitherway, I stopped at the restaurant after work, and asked them not to give me the large salad. The waitress said okay, but never eat anything off of the other women's plates. You didn't have to tell me twice. A few days later, the office fired the token guy, and I was out of work. I knew one waitress at the place, and they noticed I wasn't coming in anymore. The manager called me at home, and asked if my boss fired me because he yelled at her. I said I couldn't prove it, but they did. The Manager said he was sorry for getting me fired. The next day he threw the entire office out of the restaurant. He said this establishment reserved the right to refuse service to any person who caused trouble. Funny, all the women thought I was cheap.

That's a fantastic story, friend. It's unfortunate some situations degrade to that, but know that perseverance is what puts you above your peers, and take solace in your perseverance making you stronger. I know mere words can't help in tough situations, but overcoming hardships no matter the significance add to your character in a way that will make you revered by the people you actually care about. I hear your story, and think better of you for it. Hopefully fortune follows you.

Your story has no setting and no context is established. What country are you referring to? What area? What job is this? None of this is established so no one has any idea on how to interpret this information.

Dude, you are so COOL!! The world needs more of this kind of media; plugging what's truly important, the people behind the products that make this modern life possible. Somehow I feel if all our products, food, clothing, etc. were humanised like this, the world might just be a bit better off, 'cause you know what they say, "We vote with our dollar" in this consumerist global society.
