This Chinese Vegetarian Festival is also being held in any cities within ASEAN and east Asia. The festival is to honour the Chinese God, the Nine Emperors of Heaven. Usually it is a length of 9 days..Phuket is a huge festival. Singapore and Malaysia too.

Everytime I'm in Bangkok, it's a ritual of mine to take the 'orange flag' boat to Ratchawong pier, walk up Yaowarat Road and spend some time in Wat Traimit. The Kuan Yim Shrine across the street is where I go to pay respects to my late mother.

thailand should make Yaowarat an actual pedestrian street already. the cars and tuktuks are such a pain there.

On October 24th, on Silom and Sathorn roads, there will be a grand Hindu procession, which occurs only once a year. It's a significant event that closes the roads, and people will come out dressed up, setting up altars along the streets. You should consider going to see it. The event starts after 6 PM, and it will be crowded.

Jay Festival. All Jay food is vegan but not every vegan is Jay. Jay food is refrain from eating 5 types of vegetables that have a pungent smell.( Garlic , Onion, Allium chinense ,Chives Tobacco means no smoking.)
