There is a whole documentary about this exhibit called “First Monday in May”. Very fun and engaging to watch.
I truly fell in love with China Through The Looking Glass to see it in person was spectacular!!!
I love this dress called is magnificent gold dress by guo pei and i love chinese culture because it is very rich and powerful of imagination

It needed to dance beautifully and it really did. But, this dress looks excellent but may not be comfortable to dance with.
Beautiful collection, and wonderful commentary.
I'm so happy to can visit the MET museum in October I would cry when I get there and see all the gala couture with my own eyes

The Met has a gift shop that usually exclusively sells these types of coffee table books. You can probably shop it online. Might be sold used or even by Amazon.

If they were talking about western fashion, they would never mention the influence of other cultures in it, but when ever they talk about other cultures, they always have to emphasize the influence of western culture, I have come to always expect this and they never seem to disappoint.

Filipino Fashion hasn't reached the arch of American haute couture yet or made a significant impact on what is fashion today. Unlike China who fueled the fashionable aesthetics of Western Fashion for centuries.
