40 white and 20 black!!! That’s amazing. And the skill and craftsmanship. I hope these ladies are well compensated.

The dressmakers are artists ❤
I really enjoy when you show how the costumes and tutus are made, remade, restored!!!!! Thank you for doing this and I hope you show more in future.
Love the can of Heinz holding the fabric down as they cut it.
Dancers work so hard they deserve to wear these gorgeous costumes

And the costumers work so hard that *they* deserve to have their pieces of art beautifully showcased by the dancers! Different by symbiotic art forms.
No wonder these tutus are so lovely.
It’s always the back story that makes it all come together.
So talented, and they're just gorgeous! Oh, and the tutu is pretty too. 😉
The process of making a beautiful tutu revealed. Such detailed work.
So exquisite, and so much love and hard work put into them ! Thank you for so much wonder and beauty !!!!💗
I feel so thankful to have been trained in this art ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous!
Excellent content! Bravo 👌👏❤ Please do share more costume dedign and making
MYGOD!!! This is so remarkable.
Gorgeous absolutely gorgeous. I’m hopefully going to see my first ever swamp Lake produce from by the National Ballet Of Canada in Toronto. I believe it’s showing next February and then Giselle hopefully also put on for the National Ballet Of Canada in Toronto In OCTOBER. Only been taking ballet for seven years. It started seven years ago to take adult ballet classes at the National Ballet Of Canada and Toronto and also Canadas National Ballet School and Toronto ballet is so hard but there’s certain aspects of it that I like, but obviously I won’t be dancing in Giselle anytime soon, but I love going to class every Sunday I go to class And doing a workshop and everyone is so nice and such a positive environment to be in for an hour and a half key to dance in the Prima studio at the National Ballet Of Canada in Toronto to gorgeous studio very lucky
Gorgeous!
I came across this video and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very talented ladies that make these costumes.
A beautiful video. Thank you!👏🏼💕😎🌺🥷
I worked for one day at the Royal Ballet costume department in London and it was amazing. Fabrics were basically stretch and zigzag sewn several times over a nude base. I would have loved to have stayed but the head constumier didn't like me for some reason.
wonderful costume for a wonderful dancer
Fascinating! I would have liked to have seen more footage of the costume being created. There were many steps that we did not see.
my dream job ❤
Wow!! Great archives!
I love this video, thanks RB! I make tutus in a different way but also with much hand sewing. You have the best artistic crew and dancers and tou know it
So beautiful
平たい生地が立体的な衣装になっていくプロセスを見るのはとてもワクワクします。 実際にバレリーナが着ると魅力が何倍にもなるのですね😍
Wonderful! More please!
Breathtakingly beautiful skills,

How are these costumes laundered, maintained and stored ? I want to know more 😊 The costumes really does add to the story and enhance the dancer’s movements..Beautiful 💕
So impressive. 🎉
ngl until this video, I just assumed the tutus used fake feathers. The effect from the layered tulle is so beautiful
Pleated by hand! Good eye!
Wow!
😍 ça fait un boutte que je n'ai pas travaillé mais revenir au boulot tranquillement dans mes performance et reprendre le rythme ...au cirque?🤔... un atelier🤩 pour moi!!! un rien te fait plaisir...eee...😅

Is this a good place to ask: why on Earth do you make these absurd costumes for the swans and the Willis in Giselle? As if some dogs have torn them at the hem level. No floating or style at all.

they are created to look like feathers, so they are cut like the end of a feather. the willis are ghosts who kill men, so i imagine it’s a creative choice to make them seem more ‘killer’
Why are there more white tutus than black ones? Isn’t that racist?
