China’s Social Credit System: A Warning For America?

Patrick Bet-David explains the intricacies of China's Social Credit System (SCS). This system, which evaluates citizens based on their behavior and activities, assigns scores that can drastically affect their daily lives, from travel restrictions to social interactions. Patrick explores the origins, development, and real-world consequences of the SCS, highlighting individual stories and the broader societal impact. With expert insights and detailed examples, we uncover how this system influences not only individuals but also businesses, dictating their access to financing and market opportunities based on compliance and behavior ratings.

The thought of retirement makes me cry. My apologies to everyone who have retired and filing social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you weren't to blame for.it's especially difficult for people who are retired.

I wholeheartedly concur; I'm 60 years old, just retired, and have about $1,250,000 in non-retirement assets. Compared to the whole value of my portfolio during the last three years, I have no debt and a very little amount of money in retirement accounts. To be completely honest, the information provided by invt-advisors can only be ignored but not neglected. Simply undertake research to choose a trustworthy one.

In Canada, the main media station is funded by the "liberal" government, and 99% of the media and news in Canada is strickly pushing far left propaganda. So we only get flooded with one side of the BS rather than both. So far too many folks are seemingly brainwashed beyond repair in favour of the far left. As a Canadian who has worked in China, it makes me cringe everytime I hear people talking about the social credit score. It has to be known by the Chinese people in order to work but ask any Chinese person and they'll have no idea what you're talking about. It's like listening to people talking about Iraq's nuclear arsenal. During the BLM year, I've heard in a Chinese podcast, people just confidently talk about how you can get publicly executed by the govt if you're black and drive over the speed limit like it's a fact, same cringe. This is cringe and blatantly false, the Chinese social credit score as it is understood doesn't exist, it's a myth like Iraq's WMD.

It's not this centralized single score that dictate your access to jobs or travel that everyone believe. Yes, people with bad credit ratings or outstanding court ordered payments have it hard, but that's the same everywhere. The social credit score as commonly understood is pure propaganda, that's like saying "the US govt will send to prison if rain water pools on your property" because Arkansas has some vague restrictions on rainwater collection.

Nobody should discriminate me to rent an apartment if I dont have debt/credit score. Etc. I know it might be a foreign concept for you but there are dozens of countries without credit score. Pat this is already in place here in the states. Do a piece on how much info scanning a QR code takes in and how it is filed. I retired a bit over a year ago and overnight my escrow insurance for my home jumps 80% in the first year and then another 65% this year. I have typically been extra early on my payments both before and after retiring so nothing has changed in that regard. I now pay more in escrow than I do the combined principle and interest. This is absurd and I know if it is hitting me as an individual that hard, it must be hell on a family. It's got to stop. Thanks for making folks aware.

This kinda sounds crazy but it's totally wrong. While China does have a personal credit system, the reason for using it is to combat illegal capital raising and reduce the impact of free capital on society by rating the credit of personal financial transactions. For example, when you are the owner of a company, and you are in a high-debt situation due to a broken capital chain caused by your own personal high-risk investment behaviour or poor operations, then you must pay for your own troubles, and that's when your credit is lowered. Restricting your travelling sounds crazy, but it actually prevents you from absconding offshore. The vast majority of people have a perfect score on their personal credit for the rest of their lives and there is no such thing as a points-adding system. When you have a demerit on your credit, it means that you have actually done something that you shouldn't have done. Drinking, smoking, and playing video games are normal things that have nothing to do with the credit system in the first place, and the government doesn't have that much energy to relate to whether or not you're playing games every day😂. If points are deducted, then odds are you're on the verge of breaking the law.

Thus, when a new leader is chosen, don't offer to help him with your wealth or your expertise. Offer instead to teach him about the Tao. Why did the ancient Masters esteem the Tao? As a Chinese, I have never heard of any Social Credit System... However, seeing this video and such serious discussions in the comment, which just let me know one thing: freedom of speech can not make fools smart. 🤣🤣🤣

This reminds me of a cartoon I watched when I was a kid, the name was recess. They did something similar and by the end it did not work. Funny how this pops up years later. Interesting.
