We usually do it in many steps in mining industry. There is no point doing it in one straight shot. But for fakery, sure, you can do it with many centrifuge pump in serie. Less efficient, but no midstation required.

Yeah. To be fair, it is a real waterfall. You can see how the river carved the mountain over the millennia. But the government wants to keep its tourist attractiveness even in the dry seasons. From one side it makes economic sense, and from another it kind of kills the magic of a natural waterfall and reinforce stereotypes. If it wasn't for this "cultural war" and CCP mentality, China could be the most magical country in the world. I remember watching Chinese historical and martial arts movies as a kid and being fascinated by it. If China embraced more its own rich history and cultural diversity while doing away with censorship and repression, it could be such a touristic powerhouse and beloved by the world, just like Japan... It's sad to see all this potential go towards antagonizing the world while reinforcing authoritarianism, destroying the environment, warmongering and disrespecting basic human rights.

Well, for them its a nice place to visit and they make money out of it. So whats wrong with that? The fact that they build a pipe to get the water up there thats is very impressive. In Canada they fake small lakes and ponds close to the communities to make it more attractive to live.

River is there, it just doesn't have enough water to form the waterfall whole year, so every year there was period when the waterfall disappeared and tourists were disappointed, so they're faking it when the river doesn't flow.

The 1st clip is a real waterfall and the 2nd one is an artificial one from an amusement parks. Just compare the volume of water

it blends in as well as the pine tree cell phone towers here in arizona. they look so inconspicuous next to palm trees and palo verdes, perfect match
