I used to work in the era of 2000 , in a manufacturing company producing car parts. At that time the BMW i. Was produced in China. The car ready to go turn the key and drive was costing the company 7k . In North America was selling at 55 to 65 k . What a big gap in between

Plenty of Chinese vehicles (ICEs, Hybrids, and EVs) are being sold in Asia, Europe, Dubai and the rest of the Middle East. I wonder why the U.S. won’t allow them. I think it’s due to too much regulation designed to impoverish the American people by not allowing affordable low-cost brand new vehicles from the Dragon Country. Great car! Just back from a family camping trip and our old VW T5 bus needs replacing. Something like this RD6 looks exactly what we need -a spacious family vehicle which also can be the workhorse. I can't stand these huge monster pickups on the road but this RD6 looks great.

Almost no private citizens drive pickup trucks in China. Most are commercial vehicles, especially gas, electric, water, cable and other public utilities. Why would a person want to drive a truck for their personal vehicle? An SUV or van is much more practical. Also, no middle class person wants to be seen as blue collar. They do not do manual labor or home repairs and maintenance themselves. They always hire somebody. That's why Home Depot failed in China. Also, there is no faux "manliness" mystique to driving a truck like their is in America.

I need a pickup truck 🛻 and l don't have much money too. Because those bigger guy constantly keep pushing me behind with my small little car 🚗 now it's time for me to tell them to stop 🛑 pushing ⛔⛔⛔

I was looking on aliexpress and the big Tesla batteries are only 6$ bucks a piece. I doubt it's very easy to open a geelee, I got this bad ass RC Car from Walmart to swap the parts out and the motor mount was simply uncrackable diamond glue, made of titanium, impossible to open entirely. I just rubberized and glued six pairs of gloves with my bottle of Bob's Extra thick. Had to cut the bottle in half, if you just rubberize them, it gets destroyed. Unfortunately I have no idea how to apply texture, the thick glue evades normal solvents, but it's really not that hard at all. Lol

Can't do battery swap, #NIO has the right idea a d quality when it comes to pure EVs

The point most people are missing is that you can also fast charge, but then also swap battery with a health check every time, which will change over it becomes degreaded or damaged. Now also the opportunity to switch to different kW power batteries for a rental also. Infact in China they have a massive network of chargers aswell as charge stations. They have been focused on infrastructure and quality/innovation rather then cheap sales and numbers. 🙌

In Europe very few people use a pickup trucks, we extensively use vans instead for hauling stuff around = much more practical.

When employees are under paid the quality in product decline, when component are cheaply made the life spend of the product is short lived, cheap cars means there's no pride in the product that comes off the assembly line.

THERE IS NO MAGIC between American or Japanese or Korean truck manufacturers costs between Chinese financials. Only certain manufacturers successfully launched trucks and cars. Even supporting a single model is expensive for the cost of a brand in the US ....startup costs in each US state and major metros, manufacturing costs and/or export to the US, costs to support inventories for trucks like parts inventories, cash, unsold trucks on on parking lots, logitics, recalls, legal and insurance, personnel costs, logistics, sales organization, marketing, asset losses, tax, depreciation, etc. By the time a Chinese brand launches in each state a truck, it might cost as much as Japanese, Korean, European cars and trucks. Not to mention the cost of the cultural difference costs between China and US.

With 800 millions middle Chinese, you won't see in the USA market anytime soon.
