Children Of God Cult Survivor Speaks Out About Life Since Her Escape | Megyn Kelly TODAY

Christina Babin grew up in the Children of God cult, now known as The Family International. Babin says she was moved around to different prison camps and forced to work as a sex slave starting at 11 years old. Since leaving age 21, Babin is now a mother of four children and working as an artist. Babin tells Megyn Kelly about her time in the cult and her fight to escape.

@@nolanolivier6791 the complete indoctrination and brainwashing to have lived through that, and to fully deprogram from mindless sheep, into authentic SOVEREIGNTY is heart based compassion, forgiveness, and understanding. I know from my own personal experience. I've recently studied the wingmakers.com interviews and all of the writings that have greatly assisted my own success in mastery within, I still struggle, however the technique for applying the virtues of the heart, in daily life experiences has greatly improved and developed within me an expansion of first Source INTEGRATION in my being, that I feel confidence empowering me from within that has given me broader perspective knowing myself in truly genuine way, has been a path to inner liberation out of subconscious programs that ruled my life, without my full coherent awareness, by removing the veils of illusions of the shadow that I hid from myself, and allowing myself to feel, and to heal. Much support to your path of healing dear one.

People this is not what being a Christian is like . Just because you believe in God and love the scriptures does not mean you are part of a cult . I came out of mormonism because that was a cult . I can only tell you that a real loving relationship with God is a personal one and not of any religion . I have been a Christian since I was 17 and you do not have to join any church to know and to serve the Lord . He is in my heart and that works for me. These people who harmed her will one day be judged by the Creator.

OliviaNewtronBomb perfectly said. I was trying to get this point across with my comment, but since you actually lived it, you articulated it perfectly. As far as Mormonism, I am reading “Unveiling Grace” by Lynn K. Wilder. I did not understand the Mormon beliefs and practices, and how damaging they are, until I started reading this book. I always heard people say that Mormonism is a cult, but I wondered if that was extreme and inaccurate, until I started reading this book. I have friends that I care very much for that are Mormon, and my heart is grieved that they are in this. Even so, would you think it’s fair to say that there are Mormons who truly love the God of the Bible, even with their belief that the Bible is corrupt?

However the Bible does tell us that we must be BORN AGAIN that spiritual awakening and a new born heart.

It was so heart breaking that everyone felt my aunts sins were greater than theirs. House full of hypocrites! Now as an adult I reflect on that sickening gut wrenching feeling of abandonment and what they call "expulsion." In 2010 my husband and I visited a friend in Bangalore. Our friend was also British, and had been sucked in by The Family when he was struggling financially. We had no idea until we were there. He didn’t live with them, but was considered a ‘disciple’. We were taken to a commune (a huge house in an expensive area) for the evening. Our friend was taken away by these stunning girls (with names like ‘Sunshine’), and my husband and I were taken to a separate room for dinner with the head of the household and his wife. All the people there had American accents. It’s a long story, but it was the most disturbing evening, and eventually my friend walked away from it. He never told us why. Unfortunately he passed away in 2016, so we will never know.

They're all cults. Anything of religious nature that a person or people uses to control a community is a cult. It's all about control. Do you live your life and base your perspective around the Bible? Then congrats, you are in a cult. And you are under control of whoever wrote that book. Spoiler alert - it wasn't some supreme, almighty being.

Yes saw this cult in our city Hyderabad, India too in the late 80’s and early 90’s. They lived in big houses they rented in the city. One was in the road behind our house. A couple once came home with a child...they were talking about the second coming of Jesus and selling music tapes. When my mum asked them if they were married they said no and said the child was not theirs but their friends. Looking back, I marvel that we never suspected this was so weird! We just though they were good Christians doing the Lords work. They had strange names too...Sunshine, Delight etc When my mum offered them some juice, they wouldn’t let the child have any, saying they were being careful of sickness. They were all over town I remember and then as suddenly as they appeared, they just disappeared. It wasn’t till, many years later, I picked up a Paris Match in our office library and saw the story on the cult and recognised the name, that I realised who they were. I pray they are completely wiped out. False prophets

I have almost finished reading the book from Juliana, Kristina and Celeste. “Not without my sister” Breaks my heart how they suffered. The level of deception and human indecency is beyond anything I have ever found. David Berg was a monster and what he encouraged to happen to all the children was pure evil and then telling women to flirty fish, without contraception or protection. Those humans named Joshua and Hosea and Paul. All of them and those commune leaders - They should be very very afraid. Each one of them committed horrendous abuse against innocent children and they will suffer as they bible says. Nothing can be said by these people to implore forgiveness. My heart goes out to everyone who suffered and to the mothers that were forced to leave their children and called backsliders. One young boy watched his brother drown, and he was subjected to correction for months because he cried. EVIL MONSTERS they are. I am so proud of the women, men and children coming forward and speaking up. They have my total admiration for their courage, strength, resilience and for the love they have in their hearts for each other and themselves- they are all in my prays.
