Children Are Sent to Colonize a Distant Planet But Their Mission Turns Into Chaos & Hunger For Power

Ойын-сауық

The Earth is dying. Scientists look for a new planet able to sustain human life and find it in the year 2063. The crew is genetically engineered on Earth by combining the genes of leading scientists. Since the voyage there will take 86 years, the crew of the mission will reproduce on the ship, making the third generation on board the one to reach the planet.

It is realistic, they couldn't add more adults on the shuttle cuz of scarce resources and they gave them drugs so that they don't behave like actual teenagers.

He knew what he signed himself up with. He choose to be with the kids and he knew the risks. If he would have been forced into this position i would ask myself the same thing but due to him choosing to go with the kids is what made it more understandable. He also stayed in contact with earth via messaging. I mean it obviously takes more and more time for the messages to arrive the more far away they get but the first few weeks and months earth and him probably talked on daily base. So he also had contact with other adults on earth which also might have helped him to stay focused on the mission. Plus he played the strong father role to the kids and knowing that without him everything would go down he also tried his best for the kids and never lost focus of the mission.

I feel like the biggest issue was the ‘blue’. It made them docile, but stunted their growth so they could not deal with issues properly. Not to mention that many of them started ‘having fun’ soon after they stopped taking it- this likely resulted in many unplanned pregnancies. Also, the blue masked the personalities of the crew- this allowed someone like Zac to go unnoticed until he went crazy.

See this is EXACTLY why you just tell people things. "Yeah, the reason we're giving you this is so that we don't do extremely stupid things to make sure this incredibly important mission succeeds." This is also the reason you add the human element to these situations instead of simply cutting it out.

But if they knew about it they would get curious and curiosity can be realy really bad depending on the situation. Imagine if they never would have found out about the drug they got. Pretty sure everything maybe would have normal till the end. You either have two option: Option number 1 is to never tell them the truth and try everthing possible so they dont find it out and get to curious to the point that they missbehave or: Option 2, that would be your approach to tell them everything and hope they understand it. Option 2 is in my opinion way to risky tho because you can never know how they would react to such an information. Maybe you being honest to them makes them curious about how it feels to not drink the drug and they all start stop taking the drug you know ? I mean either way is a good approach but the safest in my opinion is option number to never tell them and to never ket them find out about it.

The solution is to not have crew as generations. Have a bunch of people of varied ages start the trip and that will keep the whole ship from being all teen hormones at one time. You need the wisdom and experience of the elderly, the knowledge and ability of the mid life adult, the energy and new ideas of the adult, the out of the box energy and thinking of the young adults, the joy and responsibility of the children, and the fresh hope and perspective that the babies bring. If you don't have all of these together the society will start being quite different from what we know.
