When I was 19, I wldv said no problem for some. But for the most part someone should most likely be at least 35 before dating someone 15-20yrs older. My current hubby is almost 25 yrs older than me. However, we met when I was 33/34 (newly divorced 2nd time, with 2 lils from 2nd marriage). As my daughter is getting older, she’s 17.....NO! NO! NO! All her antics are definitely those of a 19yr old girl. So he really shldnt be surprised about that chaos. Aww. I'm glad you and your husband prospered through a difficult age gap. For me, my parents are around 23 years apart (my mom was 20 when she married my father -- who was around 43-44 at the time). My parents didn't do it for love though, it's just in our culture. I don't know I just don't think my father is fit for a family since he's a horrible dad and I very much dislike him. He's disgusting, has a drinking problem, is physically and verbally abusive, and is addicted to tobacco. Also my parents literally don't love each other, they never expressed actual care or love for one another and my father never expressed love towards me or my siblings. I deeply hate him since he's never been a part of my life, or tried to be (and like I said before, he's a disgusting pig and is physically abusive). But I'm sending you an your husband lots of love.💕 Edit: Omg I'm re-reading my comment and I'm so sorry how this just turned into a big rant about how my mother's husband failed at fatherhood (I never address him as my "father" in real life because I don't consider him one so calling him that in this comment felt weird).

Majority of men want peace and love in their relationship, not to argue nor to be challenge or be nagged at. Any woman that says you need an older woman so she can challenge you is just bitter because she's old now and her youth is gone and she knows she can't get the same caliber of men that she used to get when she was 20 yr old. I'm glad that you're happy with your 22 yr old girlfriend and I'm sure your gf is very lucky to have you too since you're older and has your life and career set. Most smart women use their 20s to snag a man that is older and already established (if she wants to start a family and have kids), only dumb foolish women waste their 20s to going out, drinking and partying and meaningless hookups. @@handsomeX , I've seen a lot of people who claim to have won the genetic lottery but in closer inspection you can clearly see the difference in skin patterns, hairlines, skull shape, clearly looking like what they should look like in their age. You can claim that you look younger than you are as long as you're the one seeing your face in the mirror. By experience, the people that truely look younger than they are had been malnourished and had a slow metabolism, I know this first hand. When I got better financially, and lived independently I started eating 3 meals a day instead of the usual 1 or none, and really saw the skin patterns and even voice change, it wasn't child/teen like anymore. At your age, I imagine you aren't malnourished, since you probably live independently, therefore what you think of yourself may really be an illusion that works only in your closed world. But it's good to be confident in yourself, nothing harmful in it, even though it's only your perspective.
