Childhood Bike Restoration - 5 Star BMX [14 Years old]
Ойын-сауық
Here I have my first ever proper bmx bike and this wasn't the original colour. This was also my first restoration from start to finish and is what kicked started my love for restoring.
I have my old bike and there was a lot of work involved in this rebuild. This bike WON'T be for sale or given away.
My Dog was born blind and she likes to help me where she can!
A big thank you to my Family for taking up the backyard! and Thank you guys for watching too
Don't Forget to give the video a Like! Thankyou 💯🙌

You killed it man! Paint came out great, just like the video!!
This is a Fivestar made by Mirraco. They are really good bmx bikes. the top tube is 19 inches and the frame is super light. I have one as well, upgraded it from all the factory parts and I love it. Nice build mate!
Nice rebuild. I recently restored a 2014 Sapient Titan (cleaning and adding new parts) but this is much older and required full disassembly, nice!
Did the same resto to my bmx back in the 80's... Your vid brings back memories of the bike. Anyway good job..👍
Sana all may gamit na pang gawa.
I like taking midschool bikes and rebuilding them with all modern components, also flipping the seat guts like you did was a midschool trick to move the seat forward making barspins and no handers easier, also gives more clearance off the back of the bike when doing toboggans

Hey dude! Thanks heaps, does mean alot
When you go to tighten the handlebars Do it in a x pattern to apply even pressure on the stem, if not the uneven pressure could cause the stem to crack and bolts break on a hard impact.

Bagus hasil karya sendir.... (god job) 👍👍👍
Hey guys! Im no expert but I do try. Seems to be a common question but for those who think the bearings are around the wrong way. Its abit hard to see on camera but theres 2 Roll grooved steel washes where the ball bearings sit on. Then reversed the install and it spins like smooth melted butter 😅👌 Hope this clears some things up, Thanks all

Good job 👍🏼 bringing a old bmx bike back to life. 🤧 but the lower fork bearing was put in upside down. The bearings always install with the balls facing the round curvature of the neck brace. Other than that awesome work.

nice work
This is pretty sweet. One thing tho, is it looks like you painted the headset cups. If not replaced, they should be at least removed, just as the bottom bracket cups. With that said, Mission makes a sweet standard to sealed, integrated style conversation headset that is much better than loose ball and directly replaces that loose ball, cups and all, with no other mods necessary
Nice job

@Aussie Restorations & Mods For rust removal, try citric acid. It's a powder that can be bought in small quantities from supermarkets (used for cooking) or from cleaning suppliers in larger quantities. I use Trumps brand. Dissolve some in water, put the rusty metal in for 15 minutes or so, and rinse. It's easy on the skin and not dangerous an any way. You can eat the stuff if you want.
Awesome!
great work!
