మంచిర్యాల జిల్లా కోటపల్లి మండలం వెంచపల్లికి చెందిన పడాల సతీష్, రవళి దంపతులకు రెండు సంవత్సరాల క్రితం పెళ్లైంది. ఎదురుచూడకుండానే పెళ్లైన యేడాదికే పండంటి మగబిడ్డ జన్మించాడు. తొలుసూరు మగబిడ్డ జన్మించడంతో మురిసిపోయ ఆ దంపతులు ఆ బిడ్డకు ముద్దుగా శ్రీయాన్ అని పేరు పెట్టుకున్నారు. అల్లారుముద్దుగా పెంచుకుంటున్నారు. బుడి బుడి అడుగులు వేస్తూ ఇంట్లో సందడి చేస్తున్న ఆ చిన్నారిని చూసి తల్లిదండ్రులు మురిసిపోయారు. కానీ ఆ తర్వాత అందరు పిల్లల మాదిరిగా శ్రీయాన్ బోర్లాపడటం, పాకడం వంటివి చేయకపోవడంతో ఆందోళనకు గురయ్యారు.
