You have such beautiful babies! My long haired is nearly 3 years now....he’s my joy and one of the reasons I get up every morning especially being deemed with underlying medical issues and lockdown is taking its toll as is probably is with everything! My Alfie has just been neutered and very quiet but don’t be fooled! Won’t be long before he’s playing ball and causing havoc again! Lots of love to you and your babies...keep safe. X from the U.K..

Thank you so much! Some things have been stressing me out lately, but when I'm with my dogs I can really appreciate all the love and happiness they bring into my life. I can't imagine life without dogs! The lockdowns are getting on everyone's last nerves! So over it. Although I think you guys in the U.K. have had it worse then us in the States, at least from what I've read! Hopefully this craziness ends soon!

Such a cutie! I’ve been trying to find progress photos or videos of long haired chihuahuas as their coat develops. I’ve got my first little long-hair snuggled up next to my head right now. His name is Tuppence, and he looks a lot like your Bella - same little fox nose and delicate features. He’s 9 weeks old, and I’m so excited to watch him grow. 💕

Awwww how exciting! Let me tell you- Bella went through a super awkward phase with her fur lol! For a while I thought it was never going to grow in any longer! I would say even a little past 1 year old her fur grew just a little bit more. So if you notice your little man's fur doesn't seem to be growing fast- just give it time! Each one is so different. My other Chihuahua (Lily) was extremely furry even as a puppy and just got furrier and furrier into adulthood!

Thanks for sharing this! I looked up long haired chihuahua puppy and your video came up and it gives me an idea of what my baby might look like! I just got her a couple of weeks ago and have two older chihuahuas and one who passed away that I’ve had since birth but they have all been short coats. I was curious how long my new babies coat would be. Stumbled across this and my heart melted! It reminded me of all the great times I’ve had with my older babies. I cherish them so much! Your Bella is such a sweet girl! ❤️❤️❤️

Awww! Thank you and how exciting for you! I always had short haired chihuahuas in the past, after my first dog passed away I decided to try the long haired. I love them so much! I have 4 long haired now. I’ve noticed the thickness of their coats is different. Bella is actually the least “hairy” of my 3 adults. If you’ve seen videos of my Lily or Gracie- they are a lot hairier then Bella! And we have a new puppy- right now it’s looking like her hair will be more like Bella’s!

Right! I have a deer head, long haired chihuahua puppy, and she's all black with a little bit of white on her chest. I got her when she was 8 weeks old and she's 4 and a half months old now, and I already can't believe how fast she's grown! I mean, she's still tiny and won't get much bigger, but I remember when I first got her it felt like I wasn't even holding anything! She was so small that she barely had any weight to her! I would hold her with one hand under her chest/belly and keep her up against me, and I felt like I wasn't holding anything! I still hold her that way because she is spoiled and likes to be carried around lol but now she's finally over 3 lbs! Her mom weighs 6 lbs and her dad weighs 5 lbs, so she won't get much bigger! But I can't believe how different she looks now compared to when I first brought her home! Sorry this comment is so long! I just love her so much that when I start talking about her I can't hardly stop lol!

Thank you! It was a carboard mailbox kit made for kids, I found it on Ebay a couple of years ago. It was still too tall for my Chihuahuas, so I had to improvise and make the base from a coffee can full of rocks/sand so it doesn't tip over! And then of course I decorated it lol

My 3 month old chihuahua looked so young and I thought something was wrong cause Ive never been with a small dog at a young age before, I was used to my labrador which was twice the size at 4 weeks

Good question! I built the steps myself and added the furry fabric. Just small indoor rugs that I cut up to fit.

Aww how exciting! It can take a few months 😊. I don’t think Bella’s ears went straight until around 5 or 6 months of age. Enjoy those floppy ears for now 😊

Hmmm I don't remember her exact weight but I do know that she weighed less than 2 pounds. Now that she is fully grown she weighs 5 pounds.

I made that! It’s actually a ramp, I have a video on how I made it. But it came out too steep so ended up having to fix it later!

Bonjour, mon chihuahua est un chihuahua à poil long,c'est pourquoi je le surnomme ( ma petite boule de poils) mes ces un chien 🐕à part entière. Il a apresnt 4 mois et demis, il a un sacré caractère mes il devient plus sage il fait à présent pipi sur les alèses il a appris tout seul,il monte seul dans sont 👜 de transport, en voiture il a peur alors je le prends sur mes genoux et je roule doucement. C'est vraiment un petit chien 🐕adorable,actuellement il dort sur mes genoux ! Amitiés. Chris 76ans

Don’t feed your dog dry processed food! Give them healthy home cooked or pre made meals like chicken Turkey venison bison Buffalo liver carrots sweet potatoes broccoli etc !!!!!

haha that's okay! Thank you! Yes, Lily is a little unsure about the pool but still likes to come up to the water on her own. Bella is a little more outgoing so I think she's got a chance to be a little water bug!

lol that's her pack. They would never purposefully hurt her I'm sure. That kind of stuff happens sometimes especially with older dogs. It was nothing too bad.
