This is the scariest video I have ever seen.... they explicitly threatened, coerced and blackmailed the reporting officer over and over again... that was passive aggression, intimidation, and that officer in the black, doing the interview should be brought on charges and fired immediately. I am glad my bosses have never talked to me like that or I would have been pulled out of the building by security with my foot still up my boss's ass.

I agree completely!!! From the beginning, the interviewer already made his mind up. I also agree that it makes a good cop think twice to say something if they think something went wrong bc they will end up in situations like this. Now this did cop is being reprimanded for pointing out a HUGE issue about something his boss did wrong. Now this good cop has only 2 opinions, say something and get in trouble or become one of the thin blue lines gang members. This makes me sick!!! And this happened in my state. I wish people's opinion about police matters made a bigger impact on police activity, but if they aren't going to listen to a complaint from a cop, they definitely aren't going to listen to the community.

The fact that we got this and as soon as we, while acknowledging how much time has passed, is paramount in demanding change. The FTO should seek legal consultation he definitely has a claim of a hostile work environment at a minimum. @@matthewtoloczko6954 that’s a shame!! as if your job isn’t difficult enough. The fear of being gaslit makes you double and triple think and slow you down and dear I am so sorry that it has come to that. You all need to stand up together. Put your foot down and get things changed because your jobs are difficult enough. A hostile work environment only adds to the difficulty and ultimately causes mistakes to happen and there’s a reason there is an EEOC equal employment opportunity commission!!! there should be a great big poster on the wall accessible to the staff, the EEOC it’s a big poster that nobody ever reads. It explains, it explains to you as an employee of those rights is to have a peaceful workplace not a hostile one. They do have online forms now and anytime you petition a complaint. It doesn’t cost you anything except for your time to fill everything out accurately and thoroughly and then be prepared when they call you for an actual interview, and when they do their investigation, (they do keep the employees name, confidential, even though you shouldn’t have to worry about retaliation, but I know that you probably do if you’re worrying about being gaslit )but if you have a hostile work environment, it is so worth it to get things changed!!! Your jobs are. Hard and stressful enough. Being under severe amounts of stress, especially coupled with exhaustion are the main reasons mistakes are made. And mistakes at your level can mean life or death when you’re under stress no matter how dedicated!! You would think hospital administrators would have a spa set up somewhere for the employees to enjoy their time off, and not work nurses ungodly amounts of hours which means coming off of their pocketbook and actually hiring enough staff so that there is some downtime for the staff not 80 hours a week no time off to start another 60 hour week. It’s unfair to the staff and it’s unfair to the patients! thank you very very much for being nursing. Please know that there are plenty of us out here. Who has both sympathy and gratitude for you! Stay safe be blessed.

If they disappear and resign, then they're not the "good one's". When it comes to CPS, 2/3 of them quit in the first 6 months, because they see how disgusting and evil the system is and how much damage and destruction it causes. They don't help children, they harm them (and they know it). In the end though, the "good" one's all quit, leaving only the evil one's to take over... which makes the "good" one's just as bad, if not worse than the bad one's. If they didn't quit like cowards, they would Easily be a greater force than the evil... but they all quit, which makes them worse, because cowardice is the greatest of all immorality. It is THE cause of this kind of tyranny and destruction.

exactly, they bad cops are already way more numerous are comfortably entrenched in their position, the idea that any "good cops" (such as they are) could muster enough support and influence to topple them is laughably absurd, that's why we say ACAB, not because we legitimately believe there isn't a single good cop to be found, but because those good cops hold absolutely no power whatsoever to steer law enforcement onto an acceptable track

We could just abolish government police and let private firms take care of it. They will have much more incentive to only go after criminals instead of criminalizing everyone they encounter. Private arrests happen all the time in the states as it is, they are mostly good arrest, whereas the opposite is true for city cops etc.. When a private cop pulls this type of maneuver he is gone and given criminal charges if they apply. Yes, there are private cops, yes they are allowed, yes they arrest people, and yes you can too. If you see someone commit a felony you can try and arrest them and not get in trouble for it.

A part of the reform is to stop letting cops investigate cops. A civilian board needs to handle all investigations of police officers. Maybe the board can have ONE former officer, preferably one who has at least an associates degree in criminal justice, be on the team. But only 1, that 1 cannot be able to override the board. If he has a dissenting opinion he can and should be required to put out a paper describing why he didn’t agree with the board.

Much like the Mafia, the majority of people who join law enforcement do so because they are sadistic and narcissistic. They have a delusional sense of superiority and a misguided notion of respect due to a meaningless badge. They crave power, testosterone / adrenaline-inducing scenarios and a gang-like comradery that makes one feel accepted into a tribe or fraternal brotherhood. This 'brotherhood' or 'gang' is an organization where bullies go and bullies are made. These are just inarguable facts of human nature. Like 'La Cosa Nostra', once you take the oath, you belong to 'La Familia' no matter what. As for the rare, empathetic and honorable people who enter the academy with good intentions, they either quickly get on board and join the 'Blue Line Mafia', or find themselves ostracized, transferred, demoted or terminated. So when your blue line brothers break the law you better cover for them. If you choose to stand up for what is right and point out bad cops, YOU are the one who gets punished, labeled a 'snitch' and threatened by your fellow mafia members- A bunch of gangsters and thugs who get excited by the idea of carrying / using a firearm and the prospect of bullying people who they feel deserve it. They enjoy punishing ordinary citizens for actions that they themselves regularly commit with impunity, thus hoarding rights and freedoms not available to average civilians all for themselves. They have the right to break the law, while the rest of us pay frivolously for minor offenses. That 'Thin Blue Line' is far from thin and is indicative of an 'Us vs Them' mentality where only those on their side of the line are allowed to make mistakes, giving them a pass to act like animals. (any who doubt these facts I will refer you to research the 1971 'Standford Prison Experiment'). Unchecked authority corrupts even the most moral individuals. The police are public servants paid by you and I to "Protect And Serve". You are literally a customer paying for a service but more importantly, you are their employer. As tax paying American citizens, you and I are supposed to be in charge of how we want law enforcement to function. The duty of a cop is intended to be keeping the peace, protecting citizens and solving crimes WHEN CALLED UPON! Law enforcement should not be paid to harass, disrespect, bully, beat up or punish whoever they feel deserves it. They should not be given the near unlimited discretion to actively manifest petty crime whenever they are in the mood to give someone a bad day, or whenever they deem it necessary in order to tax us and inflate their budgets! For fawk sake, It is time for us to put aside our petty differences, get involved and stop licking boots! We have to start showing the police who is in charge! If you are unhappy with a service, what do you do? You stop paying them and find a better provider.

Why don’t they just tell him the truth in plain words - you are never going to be trusted again in this department or any near by departments, and you may not get back up as fast as you used to when you radio for assistance:. He came close to it when saying - you are not exactly an”trusted law enforcement source”.

The whole point of this interview was to see what this officer "perceived" and whom he told. This was NEVER a fact finding mission or an attempt to hold the chief accountable. The sheriff had no intention on going against his friend and fellow church member.

I'm only 15 minutes into this interview and it was obvious from the onset the interviewer came in with an agenda of discrediting this officer. The officers concerns of "how do I approach this incident with a trainee" are real and trying to gaslight him that the department decides what excessive force is tells me the officer wasn't being taken seriously. If this chief is still employed the city will learn their lesson soon enough when they start paying out law suits.

Their only concern is whether or not department policy was violated. They don't look at broader things like plain old right vs. wrong or whether or not someone's Constitutional or basic human rights were violated...or if a crime was possibly committed by the officer...usually. We've all seen many videos (or experienced ourselves) situations which any reasonable person would understand that the officer engaged in criminal mischief. But, nothing comes of it. Any AI officer that hangs a fellow cop, no matter how justified, is going to find themselves alone on all calls out in the field.
