Chicken Koliwada is a tasty and crispy dish made using boneless chicken. Chicken Koliwada is Red in colour, crisp yet soft in the middle.The famous chicken koliwada recipe is easy to make and delicious to taste. Use this chicken dish as a starter when you have guests at home or for a party.
Ingredients :
(serves 2)
For Batter:
- 2 tbsp Refined flour
- 1 Cup Gram flour
- 1/4 Cup Corn flour
- 2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- 1 tsp Chat Masala
- 1 tsp Carom seeds
- Salt
- Water
- 1/2 Kg Boneless Chicken Strips
- Oil

Are you crazy that you are saying this dish came from north immigrants... Bhai we are fisherman here we are use to this recipe for common lunch and since before Mumbai were 7 Island... Mongoloy

Store it in glass jar or glass bottle keep it for the next fry lol
The coating is too dark for a Koliwada dish. Also, the coating is broken for many pieces. Furthermore, I think the chicken pieces should marianated in garlic paste. Otherwise, the raw taste of chicken won’t go completely. Are there any remedies for these problems? Your advice would be highly appreciated.

I think you got not correct history of koliwada. And if some North Indian of panjab came to Mumbai and create koliwada recipe then why they put the name koliwada. Just because they settle there called Sion koliwada. It's totally baseless. Koli is Marathi cast of fisherman's of Maharashtra or the fisherman of Arabian sea, also coastal areas they lived called 'koliwada'. And koliwada is authentic recipe of Maharashtrian Koli people. (First at all Panjabi or north indian people are less consume seafood.) Not some North Indian people. If you visit Koli fastival of Mumbai then you realise you spread the worng information.
I tried this today. Was bland and tasteless. Didn't enjoy it
