This chicken francese recipe has reached over 200 million views on Facebook and I kid you not. It's by far my most popular recipe. Let me know what you think. Click below for recipe.
I believe Chicken Francaise, also known as Francese, was created in America by Italian immigrants. As with numerous Italian chicken dishes, they were originally intended for veal but taste equally as good with chicken. But back to the name, why an American Italian dish is called “French”, maybe it’s because of all the butter, maybe the wine, but one thing for sure, the flavours are superb! Enjoy it with a rich and dry white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay, or even a light red such as Gamay or Pinot Noir. This chicken recipe has gone viral throughout the internet with amazing success. Let me know what you think of this recipe.

I’ve been in the restaurants business for over 49 years. Never saw a chicken Francais in a brown sauce. Sorry. I’m from nyc and as far as we see and know it’s lemon, butter, and white wine. Bye

I cooked the dish yesterday. However, I used turkey schnitzel instead of chicken breast, because I still had them in stock. My conclusion: It tastes sensational! We were really impressed by the taste and I can only recommend it to everyone. The recipe has gone straight into my top 50.

Due to some changes in my life I had stopped using YT that much and recently I started using it again and wanted to watch your videos so bad but somehow I couldn’t remember the name of the channel or couldn’t think of any recipe name. But I kept searching videos with different tags like aesthetic cooking etc etc. but a few minutes ago I thought of the number 30 and searched and I am so so glad I found your channel. So happy to watch your videos again. ♥️
I've tried to make Chicken Francaise throughout the years, substituting the wine using chicken broth without much success. This time I followed your recipe to the letter using chardonnay this time plus doubled the sauce. The meal was absolutely gorgeous, thank you so much.

I actually made this yesterday and IT WAS SO DELICIOUS 😋. The sauce made the chicken so moist and it adds a tangy /fresh taste. I paired it with Mashed cauliflower and asparagus....5 STAR DISH!

melissa pintone i noticed your name is on many comments as are mine. I do most of the cooking at our house , here in the states, which my wife does not mind at all, lol. I would never try to take any viewers away from Joel, as i love this show, and the recipes. I am not sure if your last name of Pintone is italian, but it does not matter, i just wanted to tell you of another great show called pastagrannies, host is a lady named Vicky, and almost every episode is based on fresh made pasta, episodes average 3 to 6 minutes in length, and they, like Joel, are better than most of the big time chefs, ie...gordon ramsay, etc... if he did not cook it, the food is no good, you know the type. Anyway, i am always trying to draw in subscribers for recipe 30 with Joel, and pastagrannies with Vicky, let me know what you think, i am on recipe 30 all the time, have a nice day, and God bless

But I know the recipes probably just as good as Joel's. If and when I cook I like it to be quick and less time in the kitchen as possible. Joel, I made the chicken francaise today for the 2nd time. Oh my word!! It turned out better than last time. I used 2 for 1 flour as I’m trying to get away from all purpose. What I did not pay attention to was the adding butter to olive oil when frying the breasts. I did put lots of butter in the sauce! Gosh this is truly the best chicken franchise ever! It was melt in your mouth deliciousness! I did use free range chicken. I served it with broccolini and charred baby tomatoes on the vine. My husband was in absolute bliss. Thank you. Looks like I am on a recipe30 binge shocked I haven't found you before. So much of your stuff is amazing
I cooked this and my family loved it. I paired it with mashed potatoes with the sauce on top and garlic bread. The only thing I didn't use is wine. Turned out perfect without it.

In fact the wine is not necessarily utile, you can replace it by water for deglacity the fat and the oil and the butter, sry if you don't understand I'm French 😶

Made this recipe tonight. Only difference is I wanted the sauce to thicken up so I added a bit of beurre manie at the end. Delicious. May consider sauteing some shallots for the sauce next time as well. Thanks for this one.

Hi...am from India...I tried this receipe of yours...it took me 2 hours to make it...and the final product was nowhere close to looking like yours but still it tasted good...I specifically like that your ingredients are bare minimum...Here our dishes are never complete without atleast 50 things in it...

That was a stunning meal! Cooked it last night with new potatos and asparagus, the family loved it! It also works if you add a little nutmeg and ground pepper to the flour when coating the chicken. Top recipe, my friend, you're a star! ;)

I made this and it turned out to be Aah-mazing! Thank you for the recepie! To the viewers keep in mind to keep the chicken pieces thin. The beaten egg would just add to the volume of the entire piece.
