CHICKEN CHOWMEIN GUYANESE STYLE
DISCLAIMER NO ONE (HUMAN) WAS HURT IN THE MAKING OF THIS VIDEO!
Ingredients
1 / 12 oz. pk Chowmein Noodles
Salt
Chowmein Seasoning (Add to taste)
2 Tbsp Butter
1 bell pepper (Chopped)
1 Carrot (Shredded)
8 bora (long beans) (Cut to 1/2 inch pieces)
1 onion (Slice)
1 cluster garlic (Crushed)
5 stems celery (Chopped)
6 stems eschallot (Chopped)
Fine Thyme (1 Tsp. Chopped)
Ginger (1/2 Thumb size Crushed)
1-2 wiri wiri pepper crushed (optional)
1-2 Tbsp. Chinese Sauce
1 Tbsp. cassareep
Chicken (2-3 lbs) cut in small pieces
1/2 Tsp. black pepper
1/2 Tsp Five Spice
1 Tbsp. honey or Sugar
water

PREPARE THE CHICKEN
1 Cut chicken into small pieces, then wash it with 1 cork of white vinegar
After washing you can mix all the ingredients that is listed in the instructions below and set aside (you can do this ahead of time to marinate). or cook as demonstrated in video
BOIL NOODLES
Fill a pot with water and let it come to boil, once it start to boiling add the Noodles with about a tsp. salt do not cover let it boil for about 7 minutes until tender ( like a chewy consistency)
Once noodles is done, strain and rinse with cold water, set aside to drain once it finish draining add the 2 tbsp butter, chowmein seasoning to taste mix and set aside.
FRY THE CHICKEN
In a pan heat some oil, add chicken and fry for 2 mins then add in the crushed garlic, grind pepper, chopped fine thyme, crushed ginger and fry for another 2 mins then add five spice, black pepper,
chinese sauce, honey, cassareep salt to taste, add 1/2 cup water and leave your chicken to boil until the water evaporates to get a sauce like consistency and the chicken is tender.
When chicken is almost done add the bora, bell peppers, carrot, onion in the same pan leave to stir fry about 1-5 mins. (depends on how you like your vegetables crunchy or soft) add chopped eschallot and celery,
then cook for about another 1 min,
add the chicken and vegetables to the noodles fry for 1 min,
Mixing well and taste for adjustments.

Very nice, yummy 😋. Just a very useful tip, it's best to use a wooden or silicone spoon for your Kahari, to avoid the scraping noise while turning the food.

Well girl I just tried your chowmin only difference I do mine with beef and I didn't put the honey. But It taste soooooo good 😋, the ginger gives it a nice flavor. While I was tasting I was demonstrating Danny I was saying MASTA and THIS IS LIFE 😀 but I wasn't drinking, I don't drink 😊. Anyways my chowmin was SPARKING N TINGS 😍

Pl dont take this in a negative way. Opening skit was brilliant. You may want to avoid dumping your uncooked food in the kitchen sink. Your husband does that too. Kitchen sink in most homes are considered the second most dirtiest place in the house. "Your" sink may be clean...but the image does not go down well with viewers. So you may want to desist from doing that. ( please google "how dirty is your kitchen sink" and you will judge for yourself. For all others out there, most sinks have a "trap" just below the counter top. This area traps scrap food and is teeming with bacteria which may work its way up towards the lid of the sink. So avoid processing your food directly in the sink. looks bad.

In India, the pot for main dishes is called , "KAHARI". They even have a dish cooked in that pot, "chicken kahari." . In China, we all know their main pot is called the 'wok".
Please never wash your meats in the sink, also use a bowl, because there are lots of bacteria in the sink.
