Dawayne Bailey; an absolute joy to watch!! And the inimitable Bill Champlin! This band never rocked so good as when Bill & Dawayne were in! (excluding the short Kath decade) Great song!

Danny Seraphine once said to Champlin, "I'll stop over-playing when you stop over-singing." Now I see what Danny was talking about - Jeez!

Well, Bill and Danny have buried the hatchet, so all of that is in the past. Personally, I think things were beyond horrible after Peter left--or maybe before--who knows? David Foster once wrote that you had to make an appointment with the members of the group because they got to a point where they were not talking to each other. From what I've gathered in the interviews Bill has done, the atmosphere was very toxic, and deep down inside he was glad to finally get out of it. Danny has admitted the same thing.

One more important point....A terrific job in introducing this song by none other than one of Chicago's founding member's James Pankow. James is an American trombone player, songwriter, brass instrument music artist and arranger. (and one of the talented members of the band - Chicago.) Thanks for posting this video. One of my favorite Chicago tunes, maybe THE favorite, from the late 80's. Nice live performance from '92. The four front guys look good, especially Bill C and Dawayne B. Go ahead and rip it up, guys, I love it!

"You're Not Alone" is the name of a song written by Jim Scott and recorded by the band Chicago for their 1988 album Chicago 19, with Bill Champlin singing lead vocals and Dawayne Bailey on lead electric guitar; fabulous performance. Thanks Bill; Dwayne and all of the band - Chicago. Thanks for posting this video. (hello to juantoletemex) Mike.

This song proves in the healing power of good rock and roll music; furthermore the emphasis: "The importance and the simple truth that all of us know. In life's ups and downs of relationships that have gone awry, we all are in this together". "Remember to help someone in need and in turn, you will know that you're not alone". Thanks for posting this video. (hello to juantoletemex) Enough said. Best regards. Vaya con dios. (go with god; go in peace). Mike....The Lone Wolf.

Incredible! If DB was still with them doing that kind of soloing, I'd be going to the Chicago concert this summer. And that fret board playing and hammer on pull off stuff? You could say that's a tribute to TK since he did it on the CTA album in Free Form Guitar way back in '69.

i saw chicago a couple of weeks ago, and they played this song that night. bill actually did a guitar solo that was pretty amazing since he's really the organ/keyboard player anymore. he and keith expanded the guitar harmony part for a few more bars too. it was a nice song to throw in to their show.

@junjie37 His name is Dawayne Bailey, and he's one of thee most underrated (and over-criticized) guitarists of all time. He's one musician whose playing may be rooted in metal, but the spectrum of music he's encompassed transcends stylistic barriers. (I'm even prepared to mention Dawayne in the same breath with Sting.)

Dawayne Bailey is awesome... best guitarist in Chicago aside from Terry Kath! This era of Chicago was really great though, even though it's typically not looked at as highly as the older stuff. This song in particular is AWESOME.

I Know Bailey's no Kath but he was their next best guitarist, He might be the missing link between Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. Pretty bad performance, to tell the truth. And I’m a big Bill Champlain fan. The electric guitar is out of tune and Bill’s pitch is off in numerous spots (which almost never happens with him). Who am I to say this but…Bill should trust the song and stick closer to the melody. There, I said it.
