It's really more make or break for him. I'm glad the Bears are sticking with him, but he'll have to produce on those kickoff returns or he'll definitely be an ex-Bear next year.

I haven’t liked much of VJ’s play but with the new format I like it he may have a come back to Bears sort of speak.

"Hold the chips, I got to see this kick return" is an apt observation, Shawn with the new format. It's going to be a lot more fun to see how often teams score or get great field position. You should explain what a quality control coach does for us less informed dudes. 🙂

He will look different with a competent offensive coordinator. The GM was clearly tanking last year on purpose. He knew what to do to help the QB, he just didn’t. We probably don’t know what we have, because the coach sucked. He was fired. Not Velus. We traded Justin, I’m not feeling the hate against guys that were dealing with a GM that decided to tank. Is that really a reflection on the players?!

GM or o coordinator? They were both trying last year. Our O sucked cuz justin struggled and the coordinator was awful. Pretty straight forward. No one was tanking, that’s why we almost made the playoffs

@@kravenofspider VJ is not a good punt returner, because he just isn't good at fielding punts with the defense standing around him, but he is good at kick returns because of his 4.35 speed. The new rules will make him even better. Hightower is a good specialist at returns, I have confidence that he will use the new rules to the Bears advantage with 2 returners splitting up the defense.
