The "Royal Flora" located at Ratchaphruek Garden just 10 km from the center of Chiang Mail in the Mar Hia district of Chiang Mai is a massive (85 hectares), yearly (December to March) horticultural show featuring 30 International Gardens, Corporate Gardens, Indoor and Outdoor Exhibits, rare plants and the Royal Pavilion.
Being from Victoria, British Columbia, the Canadian Garden and Exhibit was of special interest to us with surprising results. The Royal Pavilion with its "Lana" architecture typical of Northern Thailand is the crown jewel of the Royal Flora.
All in all a visit to the Royal Flora is not to be missed if you are at all interested in the beauty plants and flowers.
