Chiang Mai - best coffee shop. Where is Chiang Mai's best coffee, Thailand 2023? Maybe here.

Chiang Mai, Thailand - the best coffee shop? Maybe the best drip coffee and tea is right here in this hidden location, at Gallery Drip Coffee. Chiang Mai is known as a coffee lover's paradise with hundreds of options, many offering outstanding coffee and tea. But this hidden gem is great not just for the coffee and tea, but also for the ambiance, located in a colonial museum's courtyard. Most people walk right past it and never know it is there. We also meet Chiang Mai's King of Drip and ask him about his coffee secrets, and visit the park next door (Chiang Mai Historical Center) where you can alternately take your drinks to enjoy.

Excellent Videos from Randy & Joy, I will have to visit this coffee shop when I get there in September. I like Cafe Caliente in the Pa Deat sub district near my brother's home and excellent coffee (Roast's onsite) beans from Myanmar owner On also has Iced coffee in cans he also produces at the shop. Very good Korean food as well very reasonable prices. Hidden Gem for sure.

I didn't know that. Thanks, Orowan, for the info. Yes I really enjoy going there for coffee or tea. Joy and I are the only people sitting on the patio as we don't mind the heat. Usually everyone else is inside. Really a nice quiet little patio unlike all the places on the street if you prefer outside.

Some people treasure, golf, gardening, fishing etc. in retirement, but for me a great coffee place and gym are top priorities...and as you noted the coffee must be good, but so too, the environment. Given I'm a coffee snob what with living in Australia...standards are high. Adda good book, yes book and one can while/wile away the hours. Great job! What was the price?

  • @RetiredGlobalLife

Yes, a good book, a good drink, sitting in the shade, is paradise. Different values as we get older and value simple things. The prices were average, around 60 baht as I recall. We go to so many places it gets a bit blurred. Best wishes.
