Great interview DSP and Gene! Obviously, i wish the news were better, but i have strong conviction that CNI will deliver in the long term, and am still very happy with my decision to use and farm Chia. This network only has a positive impact on the worlds economy individuals rights. I look forward to seeing that continue.

Yeah this is bad news without doubt. I hope for a good outcome and I think they will have runway to get there now but not great for market pressure volume.

I appreciate the Chia org is proceeding carefully and being open but we need some good news badly in terms of adoption etc. A lot of chia is being sold right now and a lot of small farmers are going into red in terms of monthly earnings esp. in places with high energy costs like europe. Appreciate Gene coming on would also like to hear from Bram.

Mr. Hoffman efficiently disembarked the stowaways from xch, those who are needed by the project are now buying

Thanks for the video. A ton of discussion has been put into how XCH price is linked to the CNI prefarm. This is just the first test to see how CNI weathers problems and how XCH holders respond. XCH is a trust in CNI success so we can only hope for the best.

Sorry to hear about the layoffs. Hopefully jm wasn't in this cycle. It's tough running a business. Sometime you have to shrink to expand. I ran my own business for 18 years. We shrunk every economic downturn. It's tough. In the end "lean and mean" gets the job done though. Good luck Chia, I'm sure you'll be fine

switched off my mini farm last month. Have 'enough' (for me) to hodl and forget about it. Sad to see its been going downhill ever since I paid any attention to it for over a year now. Yet crypto has been full of surprises and hope chia will be a positive one eventually. Watched egg never boils. Bottom line is 1xch is worth 1 xch....

This is one of the best Chia interviews on both sides.

Ripple presold coins to investors they could flip IIRC which at least CNI didn't go that far. Yeah the tech behind Chia is wildly cool. A real reason I like this chain so much.

@@DigitalSpaceport I love Chia's tech too. I wouldn't be here if i didn't. It's just that not selling their tokens was a HUGE differentiator from the rest of the crypto market. Hopefully they won't have to sell tokens because as long as Gensler is in power, there's no way he'll let Chia IPO after selling tokens imo. Anyone that claims otherwise has no proof that he would.

I can understand this take and dont really disagree this is off the course of safest crypto from prior. That was one of the huge selling points to me with Chia as well. Ill still stay mining, but this does move into a somewhat higher risk category now.

Why do you think carbon market adoption wouldn't drive price? . if just 5% of the 900bn carbon market was traded on chia, that's 45bn on legal utility on the network. How much legal utility does bitcoin have? a few billion$/year?

Because the carbon credit value isn't locked in chia, just the transaction ledger is. While it would create real world use and some demand it likely wouldn't generate enough transactions to impact transaction fees. This is why gaming is a big deal for it's transaction volume.

My friend, I want you to answer my question. Is there an estimated date when this public offering will take place? Chia coin has now dropped to 20 dollars. How much more loss will we, the farmers, make? Hoffman said that he is not expecting a swan. So this means that chia will not rise. I understand correctly. .I don't understand how much further it will go down. The winner is not the farmer. We are the company, we are going bankrupt, my friend.

I'm with chia farming starting from near 2000$ price. Comparing to those percantage loss thias one is no special issue for me. I personnaly hope that Chia team will specialize more in data sovereignty, finding more usecases for that (whether it will be carbon credits, notary, banking or whatsoever). Putting a a gaming layer on Chia blockchain is not a unique way. I think it is a dead end. I hope I'll be wrong with that.

I think chia will Revolutionize video games just as Microsoft did when halo 2 came out it will take time but it will happen

The Price of Chia will continue to drop. The employees that just lost their jobs will be sellers along with people trying to pay off their miners. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the price drop below $1. This is a company with zero earnings. It won’t be long until the market reflects its true value. There are much better places to put your money.

I'm not sure the employees laid off had farmed or bought huge bags, they didn't get XCH as part of the job. I do agree price isn't going up without some positive news. They also do have earnings as a private company, but clearly not enough for the headcount they had. Gene talked about that and the specifics of underwriting. That's a lot of financial advice your giving. I'll point out this channel does not provide financial advice for anyone reading.

Yeah, regardless of adoption of the Chia blockchain it doesn't mean the coin will ever increase in value. Chia network as a company is going to make their money via selling the blockchain as a service, and all the farmers are just going to be sitting around helping Chia execs get rich. Crypto is one big ponzi scheme.
