I am averaging right around 9-10 minute plot times in my monster Z840 in Windows. Just using this old workstation while I get the servers configured. To be honest I think that is fast enough for me. Once my servers are ready I will prob cut this number down a bit but I can live with these plot times for sure.

Yeah with GPU plotting, times are down so much that moving to a single disk can become a new problem of sorts if your plotting super fast. Z840 is a great system also

Hello Jerod! I live in Europe, in my city, I have found a used HP DL580 G7 - 4x XeonX7560 - 64x4GB DDR3 ECC server for 300$, it is the cheapest system I have found for 256GB ram. Do you think it will be sufficient for plotting and farming GPU compressed plots with my GTX1070? C7 maybe. It is hard to find more cheap HDDs right now so compression looks like a great alternative.

Yeah I'm going to do a video on mining pools for Chia shortly but in short they had been upside down since Merge. Surprised they lasted this long. I'm a spacefarmers so I think they are a decent pool for folks migrating.

starting with whatever you have is 100% the best way to learn! Grow small, learn how, then scale if you want to. Used HP Z420 is about the best bang for buck with a 3060 12GB GPU and 256/128GB RAM IMO.

Hi I have updated to 3.1.0 bladebit cuda and the T620 has done about 30 plots, before the update it would not plot it would stop and hang for hours and i would delete and start again and again. The 30 plots I have done were taking about 25/30 mins, It now stops and hangs at the finalizing table 7 and just sits waited 4 hrs no change when I look and the task manager i can see bladebit using 10% cpu ish 92% mem, any ideas, sledge hammer is ready..... T620 win10 128 ram 3060ti 2 x 16c 32 t e5-2667 v2 3.3gh Cheers

Exact same problem you had at 7:00 but unable to get past it. RTX 3070 and latest game ready drivers. 128GB RAM system. Tried for hours but can't figure anything out and don't have NVLink showing anywhere. Wish you had not cut this part from the video!

All I did was remove the A5000 GPUs and remove the Nvlink and it worked. OBS runs on the desktop so there is not a way to record that really. If the GUI isn't working for you, download the 3.1.0 github.com/Chia-Network/bladebit/releases

Small windows farmer here. When do we expect the BB 128gb out in the official GUI?

2.1.0 seems like the release that will have hybrid ram support based off this RC testing. It is not out yet.

I’ve been farming since almost the beginning but I’ve done so very basically and use a decent windows computer. I don’t follow all the programmer level details. Now I see my percent of returns down about 20% and attribute that mostly to compressions that others have done. I’ve downloaded the newest version of chia, updated all the drivers, and I have a 10th gen intel processor, 128gb ram, and 3060 GPU. I also have a 1tb M2 drive along with about 300TiB of storage space. No matter what I seem to do, all I have is the old 4 options for plotting from before and nothing in the drop down for the compression options. HELP anyone!

I need some help with the TrueNAS Chia App. I am unable to sync to the latest DB state after copying the database to the app directory.

@@mcunumberone613 not directly but you should use the official torrent to get jumpstart I think. I would also suggest running as VM vs Docker if the image is not up to date.

Ultimately, I figured I'd leave it for the engagement and that there was acknowledgement that it could be related to the RAMDisk and my initial thought about the NUMA config could still be why it might have just one node lag like that.

currently there is no way to achieve what you are looking for. Pure CPU based plotting without massive amounts of RAM does not exist yet for official Chia software.

you are using the --disk-16 cmd right? What is the error?

Yeah, cudaplot is much faster, BUT 2.0.1 chia plots check says that I got INVALID plots with 0/30 and 0/100 Proofs. :( Also bladebit_cuda chiaplot -d=device option is not working, concatenated this with destination_path... bb 3.0.0 with chia 2.0.1 is very buggy. And what about your plots check results?

Try using: -d 1 , not -d=1 for device. I kept fighting with that one. but it works for me now. Using rc2 bladebit_cuda.

yeah someone shared how much they were running in the red each month from their discord with me and I was shocked. I didnt know it could cost that much to run a pool. Spacefarmers is turning profit on 3XCH a day in fees so I imagine that the bar is pretty low hardware wise.

your cpu interconnects bottlenecked the plot by using all the ram and splitting the numa nodes

132 seconds on Epyc Rome 8 chan ram pcie3 but w/ GH.. K32 C8.. Others easily do better w/ pcie4 and an rtx 4090..

132s is still really great times. The marginal time gains for the costs to double speed isn't really cost effective.
