How have I JUST discovered this man! Chey's movements aren't just dancing, they are art. I don't recall ever crying while watching someone dance, but his second performance literally brought me to tears. It's a drug induced psychosis while trying to pretend everything is fine. It's smiling and laughing while your greatest fears play out in your soul. It's just trying to breathe, while your entire world morphs into something unrecognizable. It's a dichotomy of delight and terror, pleasure and suffering, curiosity and repulsion. It's LIFE. He's brilliant!

I love your analysis of Chey’s l performance. There is certainly something overtly unique about him. I see it! The first piece felt like a forced physical transformation.

His movements are art. And your words and discribing are also an art as well.
I came to see Chey's power-move, but honestly stayed because of Dykens. Such power expressed with fluidity and delicateness. Really refreshing. Nice balance between the two.

Same here. Saw a random video with the split somersault move and found this. His tricks are out of this world but the 2nd guy actually danced. I've only watched 1 round so far though
DYKENS movement like four element...flow like water, fly with the wind, solid like earth, and definitely fire
Chey showed in the first round how experienced he is, but in the second round, I have no words, a wonderful show, I wish I had been there, it was a performance that everyone should see with their own eyes. Congratulations Chey.

Lowkey teared up as I was watching his expression
I saw some comments here saying that Chey's 2nd round was boring, but I can clearly see that he was incorporating the words of Alan Watts (the sampled speech in the 2nd track) into his dance, he was expressing the lyrics through his physical body and expression, and it was something truly beautiful and artistic to me. He was not dancing to show his skills or abilities, he was simply in tuned with the present and danced to manifest life itself. And it was absolutely poetic

best part is replaying it to see everyone's reaction to Chey's flip split. Everyone has a unique reaction that is quite entertaining.
Chey, it's 2023 & I'm still amazed by this MASTERPIECE. IMPOSSIBLE. Still haven't seen a similar round... what were you on that day man?
What a beautiful masterpiece by Chey. His expression and mastery of the art of dance should be a lesson to all. Dancers dance. They dont think or read about it, they do it....enthusiastically, passionately, and with relentless dedication until it becomes second nature. Consider what Chey had to do to get to such a high level and do that in your desired area of expertise. Don't major in minor things. Align your actions with your goals and pursue your goals relentlessly. Then you too can create a beautiful expression of who you are in your desired area. Sorry for the rant, but this dance inspired me beyond my love for dance.

I lost count how many times I came here to watch the start of this video with Chey being a Monster on the floor. Can't stop seeing this over and over after so many years.
The way Chey moves and expresses himself...It brings a tear to my eye because of how beautiful it is. I can't really put my finger on what it is he's doing but it's really powerful and beautiful.

One of the things I love about ILTD format is we get to see each artists own interpretation of dance by giving them song choice and removing the pressures of tournaments where moves have to be saved for the next round or other inconveniences. I also love the pairings, whoever chooses who will battle who really understands dance, in a million years I wouldn't have paired these two but look at how it turned out!

Chey's reaction at 3:45 explains how beautiful is the connection between man and music when both becomes one. I wish Alan Watts was alive to enjoy this magnificent moment. It really looks like a "dream" coming out through these body moviments.

so intense! i adored this...pure poetry! this was so deep Cheys interpretation …together with Alan Watts...i teared up!

They are such different dancers both beautiful to watch. Chey is unbelievable
Chey is so good with floor work while Dykens is good with his arms..
3:37 - 3:45 I love this hahah
Well the both of them are certainly extremely gifted dancers just by the control that they both possess over every respective member of their body. HOWEVER, Chey exhibited movement on such a sophisticated level of seemingly effortless dynamic grace that he not only stole all my attention each time, but he also brought a deeper gravity to the lyrics, rhtrym and flow of each song he used! But again, both of them showcased awesome skillsets!
This move should be in the Hall of Fame
what great humaness from these 2 i approve
I liked both their first rounds best, but man this was something else!
5:18 just pure moment....very rare to capture like some mating dances in the great wild. Show this to my kids as an example of possessed by the beat which shatters all walls, barriers, labels, judgement, styles, etc etc Let freedom ring fam!!
DANCE HAS BECOME RELIGIOUS NOWADAYS I LOVE THIS DANCE HAS DIFF SIDE OF DANCER WHERE THEY SHOW THEMSELVES SPIRITUALY AND VERY NATURALLY SIDE OF THEMSELVES WHICH IS VERY IMP FOR DANCERS
Chey will make you cry.Best bboy I have ever seen.
chey's movement is unreal and that one move might have been burned into my memories for years to come as one of the best I have ever seen. Fabulous
wow! these dances are incredibly beautiful - Dykens wins for me
I'm not knowledgeable on hip hop and urban dances, but I've never seen performance like those! When did it get so close to contemporary dance??
Song choice!! With variations of dance styles too.A great thing!! Something I use to say years years ago.Awesome to see this kind of format today!! ILTD is one the best dance formats I have seen!!
wow that was wounderfull! chey first round i wasnt ready for it was awsome in some parts! dykens second round was really good. u could see how he felt more comfterable in the more rithmyc music. overall it was really cool seeing those 2 guys doing their thing. i really loved how chey uses (what seems to be) hes backround in contemporary dance and preformance in this kind of "brack dance" field. first time im seeing it. he opened my mind :-)
The movement at 1:26 is so damn smooth
Im revisiting this and it never ceases to amaze me.
Me watching the whole Show mouth and eyes wild open. This is beautiful and unbelievable 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 do they have bones 😅?
Both dope....but Chey was incredible ,movements hella crazy!

Effing poetry in motion.
The first 2 minutes of this video are mind-blowing. From the unique performance through the music, light, emotion, public's reactions and even the camera angle.. any cinematographer would dream to do such a shot if there was a movie in this thematic. A masterpiece created without intention.
so spiritual guys, told so much in their moves, absolute original amazing human beings
Stunning! Beautifu! Evolutionary! We are honoured by the presence of such talented beings and all the effort involved by all those in creating the music, the technology and in bringing these performaces in this stage and youtube!! Truly special!!!
Two beautiful dancer's just feeling the music going with the moment of the music and not thinking while dancing beautiful to see
