How have I JUST discovered this man! Chey's movements aren't just dancing, they are art. I don't recall ever crying while watching someone dance, but his second performance literally brought me to tears. It's a drug induced psychosis while trying to pretend everything is fine. It's smiling and laughing while your greatest fears play out in your soul. It's just trying to breathe, while your entire world morphs into something unrecognizable. It's a dichotomy of delight and terror, pleasure and suffering, curiosity and repulsion. It's LIFE. He's brilliant!

I saw some comments here saying that Chey's 2nd round was boring, but I can clearly see that he was incorporating the words of Alan Watts (the sampled speech in the 2nd track) into his dance, he was expressing the lyrics through his physical body and expression, and it was something truly beautiful and artistic to me. He was not dancing to show his skills or abilities, he was simply in tuned with the present and danced to manifest life itself. And it was absolutely poetic

What a beautiful masterpiece by Chey. His expression and mastery of the art of dance should be a lesson to all. Dancers dance. They dont think or read about it, they do it....enthusiastically, passionately, and with relentless dedication until it becomes second nature. Consider what Chey had to do to get to such a high level and do that in your desired area of expertise. Don't major in minor things. Align your actions with your goals and pursue your goals relentlessly. Then you too can create a beautiful expression of who you are in your desired area. Sorry for the rant, but this dance inspired me beyond my love for dance.

One of the things I love about ILTD format is we get to see each artists own interpretation of dance by giving them song choice and removing the pressures of tournaments where moves have to be saved for the next round or other inconveniences. I also love the pairings, whoever chooses who will battle who really understands dance, in a million years I wouldn't have paired these two but look at how it turned out!

Well the both of them are certainly extremely gifted dancers just by the control that they both possess over every respective member of their body. HOWEVER, Chey exhibited movement on such a sophisticated level of seemingly effortless dynamic grace that he not only stole all my attention each time, but he also brought a deeper gravity to the lyrics, rhtrym and flow of each song he used! But again, both of them showcased awesome skillsets!

I'm not knowledgeable on hip hop and urban dances, but I've never seen performance like those! When did it get so close to contemporary dance??

wow that was wounderfull! chey first round i wasnt ready for it was awsome in some parts! dykens second round was really good. u could see how he felt more comfterable in the more rithmyc music. overall it was really cool seeing those 2 guys doing their thing. i really loved how chey uses (what seems to be) hes backround in contemporary dance and preformance in this kind of "brack dance" field. first time im seeing it. he opened my mind :-)

The first 2 minutes of this video are mind-blowing. From the unique performance through the music, light, emotion, public's reactions and even the camera angle.. any cinematographer would dream to do such a shot if there was a movie in this thematic. A masterpiece created without intention.
