I'm replacing both upper control arms, both lateral link ends along with both motor mounts and trans mount on a 2010 Silverado lt with 330K miles on it for my Uncle. Your video saved me from figuring it out, Very educational on ways of doing it and I appreciate you showing how it's done. Thank you again!

I like how you talk the whole time! 😊 I felt like I was really there with you! Great teaching method! Thank you for your video. I'm switching out my mounts later on today and your video was the most helpful. I appreciate it! ❤

Thank you I did exactly what you did but....I disassemble the mount into two pieces; separating the plate and the rubber mount on the passenger side to easily remove the passenger motor mount.... Make sure the shield match OEM!

Thanks this video was very helpful. I also have a question, so you think it is possible to do this job without the lift? Like with just a jack?

  • @fixersautomotive4514

Yes. You can replace the motor mounts on the floor w/ a floor jack. Just make sure you lift up the motor w/ a block of wood on the oil pan.

Just did the driver side motor mount and the transmission mount on mine 2011, I was looking for an easier way to do the passenger side with out disconnecting the exhaust manifold, looks like you found a way. Thanks for the help.

Good luck w/ the fix. It’s not easy to replace the passenger side motor mount. It might be easier to remove the exhaust manifold but it can be done the way I did it but you will have to jack up the motor like the video. Thank you for your comment, please share and subscribe.

If you remove the starter and jack up the motor its easier to replace the mount since removing the manifold could result on broken bolt. Like your videos really informative keep it up!!!

I wouldn't have done that. The oil pans on these engines are structural, so lifting on them is fine.

  • @fixersautomotive4514

You would have to remove the passenger side exhaust manifold in order to get the mount out from the top side. I’ve done it both ways. There just about the same but you probably will have to replace the exhaust gaskets, they might not seal back up. Hope this helps.

  • @fixersautomotive4514

You sure can, you can use a floor jack and a block of wood under the engine oil pan and carefully lift the engine. Of course it’s harder and you can still get it done.
