@@coryphillips3195 full bolt on 5.3. Long tube headers catless exhaust and magnaflow bullet muffler. 3.5" exhaust. Texas speed cam. 220r. Tuned myself with hp tuners. Off throttle timing I'd-10° lol. Retarded timing so flames come out.

lol sounds nothing like a nascar let me 2 two my prerunner you can here it idleing nearly a whole block away the nascar/race car sound comes from a combination of things cam heads headers race engines also run higher rpms like 1400 which is what prerunner idles its closest to nascar idle/rev in my town plus nascar uses whats call a boomtube exhaust its kinda like a trua dual straight pipe that comes out one side

@@mumbols i tuned myself using hptuners and spent hours comparing other tunes to mine. Seeing the changes vs boosted and na. But all I would trust myself is with NA tunes as I don't have much time from work to get knee deep in tuning. Just the basics. This was my first LS experiment so I was just playing around and researching. I have a new gmc sierra 5.3 4x4 that will definatly be more serious now I've learned a thing or two. 🤣🤣🤣

Yah. It was not fast. But not the slowest. It rolled out on the silverado SS. And 2008ish 350Z. And a Volkswagen. R32. Thats all I did with it. Its sold now. My new truck will make a good come back soon. 🤣🤣

Huh! Found my truck on here! Didnt realize I left two black Mark's on the pavement. Was grippy. And truck was cold so it was mostly in open loop which doesn't add much more fuel. Why I kept on it and revving the shit outta it.

True. I got a 04gmc now with just 90k. 4x4 too. This one is nice as they get for their age. Ganna start here soon with just a cam and headers like before but also 4l80e swap. This time next year I should be turbo. (New job makes lot more money now)

If you put a aftermarket cam in your engine please get a tune or it will do nothing except run like shit. You don’t necessarily need cats but you do need o2 sensors. Longtube headers wouldnt be a bad idea since they should already have o2 sensor locations. Intake manifold would be a good addition too and you might actually have a quick truck. Maybe some 91-93 octane fuel too🤷🏻‍♂️

@@MrBigdaddy1021 you dont need high octane. You need to have Catless exhaust. A cam helps. If you have a cam it goes without saying that you have to get a tune. I spit fire balls with my 5.3 on a stage 2 tsp cam, long tube headers, catless 3 inch y pipe and factory catback from the y pipe back. I alzo have ls7 throttle body, k&n drop in and an airaid intake tube. Msd 2 step 8733 is for all ls engines

Yes. I hauled full loads of crushed rock in it to build my shop. Truck is sold and currently working on an 04 gmc! New job 100k+ year now so this will be better. 🤣

Ran it to the white wire on brake pedal that closed the loop and activates the positive for the msd controller. I also made a toggle switch so I do not have to be on the brakes to activate the 2 step. This was my old truck btw. Tuned and built it all myself. But sold it and now starting to build a turbo gmc 1500. More fuel with turbo and bigger flames to come. Lol.
