I just changed mine. The bolts and electric connections were incredibly difficult to remove, but once they came off, the rest was easy. I watched this video about 12 times for 3 straight days. I'm super grateful for you bro

Quick note. This is the video explanation I was looking for when I jumped a car with my 2018 malibu wrong and got a spark - big spark. Couldn’t find this under searches for jump starting with 2018 Malibu wrong. Good explanation.

The 350 amp fuse is for the starter. I would put a longer wire to the stud on top and connect that to the starter until i get a new terminal. Maybe put a 350 amp inline fuse and fuse holder as a backup fused connection from the battery to the starter.

Awesome video... My fuse box was good, figured out it was a battery in my remote.

@@deandoss2105 Thanks found out my model does not have the small battery in the trunk and the problem was the main battery was bad. Soon as I changed it all the problems stopped.

Just hook them as directly to the battery posts as possible. Avoid putting electricity into the system anywhere except where it was expected.

I did exactly this but it still isn’t working. My check engine light just turned on. I’ve replaced the battery and the relay fuse box. What else could be the problem?

@@gustavocontreras8619 I took it to the buy here pay her dealership I bought it from and it stood in there shop for 5 months. They attempted to replace electric wiring and fuses but that did not work and they had to change the entire transmission for some apparently some type of shortage in the electrical harness. It was a complete nightmare! She is running fine now but I’m still afraid if it might ever happen again.

@@gustavocontreras8619 one thing I also did notice when I first purchased the vehicle Is that the ECO auto stop future was very inconsistent as to when it decided to actually work or not work. Since the vehicle has been in the shop the auto on/off feature works perfectly now. It did however make me wonder if maybe it might have been something related to that?

@@GROW_withMOE mine was the battery. My battery test came back good, except when there’s a load running through it. It showed bad. But sometimes it can be the extra terminal location with the fuses.

Called a battery junction box or battery fuse.

The fuses are all stamped into a single piece of metal. Also note that the hybrid and non-hybrid versions of the same year, make and model will use a different version of this fuse.

why u dont just change the damage fuse instead of changing the whole part

I have an issue on mine, first I needed boosted so I did, went and got battery and alternator tested and it was good but they said battery was weak so I replaced it, I was driving in D at a red light and car just shut off, me trying to get it started I shifted to park instead of neutral and there was no power at all to car and couldn't get out of park but a friendly cop help me jump start vehicle to get off the road so now I drive in L6 so the car wont stop at red lights or traffic, but occasionally I go in the morning to start car and its dead, nothing left on, so I jump it and it works but I have noticed when this happens my radio does not play noise or turn lights doesn't make noise, before i take it to an expensive dealership I would like to know if anyone has had this issue and how you got it figured out, Thanks

You know I have the same issue, but mine had 3 messages pop up One was stabilitrack with the check engine light solid not blinking Second was remote battery low And Third was battery low The stabilitrack happen twice already and it turns out is my spark plugs im going to go check my battery and then replace the battery of remote and see what happens

I’m currently having the same issue in my 2017 Malibu but it doesn’t do it all the time took it to the mechanic and he told me it’s my battery current module and have to do with my start and stop option but told me to take it to the dealership 🤦🏽‍♀️ didn’t give me a clear answer

Piece of plastic that tightens terminal around battery is a stupid idea.

I have 2017 Malibu L. The car wouldn't start and the starter was tested as bad at auto zone so I replaced it...but the car still shuts off at a light if foot not on break (sometimes with foot on it shuts off) and then there are the times it still won't start immediately...what could be the issue....and what is that beeping or sensor noise it makes after not starting. Please help

Also, you're wrong... every time you "test" the bottom side of those fuses, you're testing the SAME piece... I have never dealt with this car, but can guarantee 💯 that one only needs to test that side 1 time, then test the other side pieces 1 at a time until the light stays off.. and that determines it is in fact bad.

Its just like testing a regular fuse, if both sides dont light up, then its bad. He never phrased it as though each side was a separate fuse...stop tryin to find shit to hate on bro and give props. Most of the comments found the vid helpful....
